ANNUAL REPORT
“Success is achieved by ordinary people with extraordinary determination.”
KV ASC & Centre has grown from few classrooms to one of the biggest KVs in India
with 60 class rooms and fully equipped laboratories. In its march of 55 years and
striving for excellence, there have been many pinnacles of success. The school has
produced many eminent alumni and well-adjusted citizens who are partners in the
development of the nation and also form a part of the Indian diaspora.
Today I feel privileged to present the annual report for the session 2018-19 of this
prestigious institution.
ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE PRIMARY WING
The primary recorded a 100% pass in all its classes. Apart from academic excellence,
the students are also given exposure through various competitions both internal and
external. Some of their achievements are mentioned below:
16 of our tiny tots participated in various external activities such as Spell Bee,
Chess Tournament and Karate.
Sandeep Sahoo of class II and Sudeepta Das of class III secured the 3 rd and 4th
rank respectively in the WIZ National Spell Bee (2017-18) conducted by English
Wizard Foundation.
14 students participated in the Karate competition conducted by various
organizations of whom P. Renold Raj of IV,Mihika of V,Navaneeth of class IV
and Tarun Aditya of class IV bagged 1st position.
Parnika S, Pallavi P V and Rajani Kumari all of V have secured 1 st, 2nd and 3rd
position respectively in drawing completion on ‘Eradicate Corruption’ conducted
by CPWD South Zone- II Bengaluru.
Christal Nelson, Dhanush, Nivedita S, all from class V have secured 1 st, 2nd and
3rd positions respectively in Slogan Writing on ‘Eradicate Corruption’ conducted
by CPWD South Zone- II Bengaluru.
We have a budding author- M R Tharun Adhithya of class IV who has authored a
book named ‘Mysterious Adventures of Superheros’ and published by
Amazon. He has written about 20 novels and 15 comics by the tender age of 9.
SECONDARY AND SENIOR SECONDARY SECTION:
Academic Results:

It is with great pride that we share the news that our students of classes XII and X who
appeared for the 2017-18 AISSCE and AISSE, passed with flying colours. We achieved
100% results in XII board and 99.21% in X board.
AISSCE RESULTS MARCH 2018- CLASS XII
A total of 208 students appeared for the exam in the class 12 board exams and all of
them passed with flying colours, a centum after almost two decades of hard work and
determination.
B Bhuvanesh and Arshita topped the school with a percentage of 95.8 % in the
Science stream.
Dudekula Haseena topped the Commerce stream with a percentage of 91.8%.
K.Shirisha Reddy topped the Humanities stream with a percentage of 91%.
Master Samarth gained admission in IIT Kharagpur and Master Akash in IIT
Mumbai.
Around 14 students have gained admissions in various medical colleges
COMPETITIVE EXAMS
To promote and prepare the students to face the challenges of the real world, we have a
liaison with the outside agencies such as SOF, Giraffe, Aakash, Maths Olympiad and
Green Olympiad.
64 students appeared for Pre-Regional Maths Olympiad out of whom 7 students
qualified for Regional Maths Olympiad.
SPORTS ACHIEVEMENTS
Our school is a perfect balance of academics and sports. Students from our Vidyalaya
not only exhibit their cultural talents but also their various sports talent.
Individual Events
44 boys participated in different individual events in the Regional Sports Meet 2018-19
out of whom 21 students got gold.

8 students out of those 44 were selected for the Nationals of whom 3 secured 2 nd
position and 2 secured 3rd position.
Vedansh P of class X secured 4 th position in Lawn Tennis at the Nationals and was
selected for SGFI.
13 girls participated in different individual events in the Regional Sports meet-2018-19.
Eight of these students got gold.
6 of those 13 students were selected to participate in the KVS National Sport Meet.
B. Tejashree of class X secured 3rd position in Diving competition in the KVS National
Sports Meet-2018 and was selected for SGFI.
Team Events
In the Regional Sports Meet 2018, Under 19 cricket team secured 4th place and 3
students were selected for Nationals.
Under-17 Cricket team became the champion; in which 3 were selected for
nationals.
Under 19 Kho- Kho boys secured 3rd place and 3 were selected for nationals.
Under 19 Volleyball Boys secured 4th place and 1 was selected for the nationals.
Under 19 football team secured 4th place and 3 were selected for nationals.
Niketh N of class XI E got selected for Football India Camp in 2018.
NCC
We are proud to have excellent disciplinarians, secular in their outlook, with a spirit of
adventure and leadership, the NCC cadets.
The NCC cadets of our school attended three camps this year - One in Mysore, the
second at Reva University and the third at SFS College. These Youths exhibited their
talents and won in various competitions held at these camps. Apart from the camps great
efforts were put in by the NCC cadets in various activities such as Plastic Disposal
Awareness, Traffic Awareness, Anti-Poverty, and Women Empowerment to alter and
redefine our society in a new healthy way. Kum. V Swetha , the school captain(Girls)
was chosen as MC(Master of Ceremonies) in SBSB-I chaired by DDG NCC in Mysore
and also in National Seminar, Bengaluru.
SCOUTS & GUIDES AND CUBS & BULBULS

Kendriya Vidyalaya ASC Centre Scouts and Guides unit consists of a total number of
300 scouts, 150 guides, 100 cubs and 90 bulbuls and 16 adult leaders.2 scouts rendered
36 hours of community service and won Ambulance Man badge and applied for
appearing in Rashtrapati Testing Camp. In the Guides section, 6 guides have applied for
Rashtrapati Testing Camp. A group of 4 scouts and 4 guides appeared for Rajya
Puraskar Testing Camp at RWF Yelahanka and CRPF Bengaluru.
13 students from our Vidyalaya were selected for attending TSPL camp held at KV
NAL Bengaluru for boys and KV DRDO for Girls.
EXCURSION :
Firsthand experiences provide for permanent learning. To enhance their knowledge and
encourage them to explore the outside world and connect it with classroom experiences,
educational excursions were organized to places like CSIR-NAL, JNCASR.
TARUNOTSAVA:
A special programme with specific strategic activities focusing on language skills,
career guidance and counselling, hobby and skill development, and basic foundation for
entering to class XI was conducted for the students who had appeared in class X board
exams 2018.
COMMUNITY SERVICE:
Education is not just about learning what’s in the book, it is also the learning of values
and morals of the society we live in. To develop empathy and inculcate the value of
paying back to the society, our students of class XI visited a nearby school-‘The Tamil
Higher Primary School’ on 7th July 2018.
Another visit was organized for the students to the ‘Little Sisters of The Poor Home for
the Aged’ as a part of community service programme.
To kindle a sense of gratitude and inclusion, a visit was organized to the Aparna Special
School on 11th December 2018. Apart from these students and staff of the vidyalaya
donated generously to the victims of Kerala and Madikeri floods.
A truck full of relief items from KV ASC was sent to RO for onward despatch.
The students also are participating in the ongoing “SWACCHA BHARATH ABHIYAN” in
true spirit and with enthusiasm. Many activities are initiated that will culminate in Oct
2019. The students are encouraged to clean their classrooms and the school
surroundings. Leading by example is Sri Rajagopal, AC, KVS RO, Bengaluru, marching
shoulder to shoulder with the staff of K V ASC, powered by the spirit and the hands of
the students.
TEACHER ACHIEVERS

Mr. T V Loganathan, PGT Commerce of this Vidyalaya has been awarded the
KVS Regional Incentive award 2018 for his excellent contribution as a teacher.
V Asok Kumar, PGT- Maths was specially honored by International Institute of
Hotel Management.
Three teachers of the Vidyalaya, Mrs. Selena Jackson, PGT Phy, Mrs.S.Geeta,
TGT-SST, and Mrs. Harsha Jajal, PRT, along with the Principal were felicitated
by the Presidency College, Bengaluru.
Smt. Suman Pandey, PRT and Smt. Deepa Rawat, PRT, got III prize and
Consolation prize respectively in News Reading Competition conducted by
‘Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Bengaluru.
A year full of activities is coming to a close and the students are now seriously
preparing for their examinations. As the Vidyalaya gears up for this defining moment, it
is time for all of us to extend our complete support to these young ones and bless them
in their onward march to success.
I am honored to convey a deep sense of gratitude for the support accorded by our
esteemed Chairman, Brig. Virander Kumar, Commandant, ASC Centre and his entire
team, the Deputy Commissioner and his team at KVS RO, Bengaluru, the parents, VMC
members and the Alumni association. I take your leave, with a fervent hope and belief
that your continued support in future will take KV ASC to greater heights.
I solicit the prayers of all stakeholders, for prayer “is the beginning and the end,
the source and the fruit, the core and the content, the basis and the goal” of all our
endeavours.
