DELTAPROOF CB

Cementitious Based Waterproofing Coating

DESCRIPTION
Two-component acrylic polymer modified cementitious coating, which consists of specially selected
cements, well-graded fine aggregates and additives supplied in powder form together with a liquid
component of acrylic polymer, pre-dosed, ready for use as waterproofing slurry.

USES
For external and internal waterproofing coating, crack sealing on concrete, mortar, brickwork, in
basements, swimming pools, water tanks, flat roofs, balconies, terraces, retaining walls, sea walls,
tunnels, etc.

ADVANTAGES

· Good resistance to abrasion and erosion,

· Non flammable,
· Non toxic and slightly flexible.

COVERAGE
Depending on type of application, 2 coats are always required.
Waterproofing for toilet or bathroom : 1.5 kg/m2 at 0.9mm of thickness.
Waterproofing for swimming pool or reservoir : 3 kg/m2 at 1.8mm of thickness.

INTRUCTIONS FOR USE


The concrete surface should be sound, clean, free of oil, grease, dust or laitance and saturated surface dry.
Then pour half of component A (liquid) into mixing vessel, then add all of component B (powder) and
mix until you have slurry of uniform consistency.
Add rest of component A and mix again until you have uniform, lump-free mixture.
For mixing, a mechanical slow speed mixer is recommended with mixing time of 2-3 minutes, if
Deltaproof CB is to be applied by trowel, use only 90% of liquid component.

APPLICATION
Always apply a minimum of two coats, the first coat on the still damp, pre-wetted substrate. The second
coat is to be applied after the first coat has started to set and can support the following coat, usually after
2-6 hours, depending on climate.

CURING
As with all cement based products, curing is important.

Protect the freshly applied product against direct sunlight and strong winds. Use damp hessian or plastic
sheet. Protect the applied Deltaproof CB from rain and water splashes until fully hardened, usually after
six hours.

PROTECTION
For roofing or other structures directly exposed to ultra violet light, it is suggested that Deltaproof
CB is protected with 2-3 cm of cement screed.

HEALTH AND SAFETY


Deltaproof CB powder component contains cement powders which, when mixed with the liquid,
release alkalis which can be harmful to the skin. During use, avoid inhalation of the dust and
contact with the skin or eyes.
Wear suitable protective clothing - eye protection, gloves and respiratory equipment, particularly
in confined spaces. In case of contact with the skin, rinse with plenty of clean water, then cleanse
thoroughly with soap and water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of
clean water and seek medical advice. If swallowed seek medical attention immediately.

FIRE
Deltaproof CB powder and liquid are non-flammable materials.
