A pleasant day to everyone, I am honored to stand here in front of you today and give this

speech to our newly licensed social workers and to give to you the importance and values of our works
and professions. As the chair of the Professional Regulatory Board, I am willing to express my gratitude
to the effort that you have made to make our company better and to help us to improve. As a social
worker, it’s our duty to protect the health and well-being of people who avails our services. We should
value our duties and give good quality of services to our clients. In doing our duties, we should apply to
ourselves the code of ethics of social work to help us give a good quality of service to our clients.

To give good service, our primary goal is to help people in need and to help social problems. We
should be open to listen to their problems to understand what they feel and help them especially in
their needs. Interacting with them helps them to feel better and getting closer to them will also helps us
to understand how they feel.

As social workers, we should treat everyone fairly and give them proper care. Social justice must
be implemented to give them proper and fair service especially to those vulnerable individuals and
groups of people who were treated unequally. We should give them their needs and avoid having
discrimination.

Everyone has a worth living. We as social workers should respect inherit dignity and worth of
every person. We will help them to promotes responsible self-determination and give them confidence
for them not to give up. We will help them to realize how important our lives are and give values to our
dignity.

As social workers, we should recognize the importance of human relationships. We should seek
to strengthen relationships among people in a purposeful effort to promote, restore, maintain, and
enhance well-being. Having relationships to others especially to our clients will helps us to build trust
and improve our services especially to our newly licensed social workers to help you to give good
services.

As social workers we should be aware of the profession's mission, values, ethical principles, and
ethical standards and practice in a manner consistent with them. This will helps you to perform properly
to your duties and give good services to your clients. You should behave in a trustworthy manner and
give importance to your duties.

Critical thinking is a personal competency which is essential for effective social work practice.
Social workers should practice enhancing and develop competence in doing their jobs. For example,
conducting a psycho-social assessment is a professional competency which is enhanced by the personal
competencies of listening, perceptiveness, and analysis.

Social workers promote social justice and social change with and on behalf of clients. As a
responsible social worker, we should always remember the primary mission of the social work
profession that is to enhance human well-being and help meet the basic human needs of all people,
with particular attention to the needs and empowerment of people who are vulnerable, oppressed, and
living in poverty. To our newly licensed social workers, you should remember this code of ethics and
apply it to yourselves as you do your duties and give values to our clients and people who need our
