REGISTRATION FOR MUET (SESSION 1, 2023)

Dear Students,

UTAR is appointed and approved by the Ministry of Education as one of the centers for
Malaysian University English Test (MUET) examination to conduct the examination in
the University.

The MUET Examination will be a physical examination and to be conducted in UTAR


Sungai Long / Kampar Campus. Please be informed that the MUET (Session 1, 2023)
examination will be opened for registration for Foundation/ Bachelor Degree Programme
students who have not sat for the MUET or wish to sit for the test again for better grade.

The registration period will be carried out from 7th December 2022 (Wednesday)
to 6th January 2023 (Friday) (for UTAR students only) with the MUET Centers
(Code) as follows:

 UTAR Sungai Long Campus (MB303x – MB304x)


 UTAR Perak Campus (MA904x)

Procedures of MUET registration:

Please note that manual form is not required for MUET registration.
All registration will be carried out through Google Form only.

For MUET candidates who are registered under UTAR, purchasing


of MEC Pin from the Bank Simpanan Malaysia (BSN) is NO longer
accepted.

REGISTRATION for another person / third party is strictly prohibited.

 Register yourself through the following Google Form.


The link will only be activated at 10.00am on 7th December 2022.

 Please submit the completed Google Registration form via 1UTAR email ONLY and
upload all the documents required. Any problems encountered with your 1UTAR

 Students MUST attached the following documents in order to complete the MUET
examination registration.
a. Scanned / Photo of IC (Front & Back) or Passport
b. Proof for Calon OKU (Disabilities, if any)

 The registration is strictly for UTAR student only and LIMITED to 816 seats for
Sungai Long Campus and 750 seats for Kampar Campus based on a “First
come, first served” basis. The form for the registration will be closed once the quota
is fulfilled.

 Once you have successfully registered in the Google Form, DEAS will issue a
registration confirmation email with a second Google Form and the MEC Pin
purchasing guidelines (via MyPay) for registration fee payment within 3-5 working
days. You are required to respond to the second Google Form within 3 working
days from the date of the registration confirmation email. Failing to respond to
the second Google Form may cause your registration to be cancelled.

 Your status will be informed after all the registration for the MUET examination in
UTAR has been processed and completed. Please contact us at
muet.deas@utar.edu.my if you have not received any email about your status by
27th December 2022.

 Any requests to change/transfer of MUET Examination Centre from Kampar


Campus to Sungai Long Campus (vice versa) will not be entertained after the
submission of the google form. Likewise, requests from students who
registered as “Calon Persendirian” to change/transfer the MUET Examination
Centre to UTAR Sungai Long Campus or UTAR Kampar Campus also will not
be entertained as the seats are limited.

 Students who are unable to register to sit for the MUET examination in UTAR
campus due to all seats taken or wish to take the exam at their hometown, can
register directly as “Calon Persendirian / Private Candidate” through this link
https://muet.mpm.edu.my

 For Calon Persendirian / Private Candidate, please submit a copy of your results
to the Division of Admissions and Credit Evaluation (DACE) and the Faculty
General Office for updating purposes.

REMINDER:
 Before the submission of the MUET registration form, please ensure all the information
in the Google Form is correct and completed. Any changes after submission of the
form will not be entertained.
 Your registration form will not be processed if you fail to register at the above-mentioned
Google Form, complete the MEC Pin purchasing and response to a second Google
Form that will be provided later. Henceforth, this will disqualify you from sitting for the
MUET examination.

The examination dates for MUET (Session 1, 2023) are as follows:

Speaking Test 13, 14, 15, 16, 20 & 21 March 2023


Listening, Reading and Writing Test 1st April 2023
*All dates are subject to changes by the MPM.
Additional information:
Effective from May 2009 Intake, all UTAR Bachelor Degree Programme students
(except for students taking the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Chinese Studies Degree
Programme) are required to pass MUET with the following minimum results (or its
equivalent*) before graduation:

Student(s) must meet this requirement within the maximum duration of the programme
of study. However, student(s) who possess the MUET result that meet the requirement
(or its equivalent*) upon enrollment into the UTAR programme, should be exempted
from this requirement.
Student(s) could opt to sit for the MUET test again to improve their grades (if any).

Language competency qualifications which are equivalent to MUET.
