Ufone mobile service provider in Pakistan with a subscriber base of 23 million. It has a
market share of 22%, not alot among all four mobile operators. its proximity to customer
s is its major strength. The brand has a strong presence in the country’s largest cities
and its service quality is relatively good . It also has a strong customer care service. The
brand was recently ranked as the second most valuable telecom brand in Pakistan.
It reaches its customers through various marketing tactics and some of its advertismemt
are as follows

It also has advertisments for international customers who usually do international

Ufone has more than 10,000 sales and service outlets across the country. It also has a
strong presence on social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. However,
Ufone’s network coverage is not as extensive as other mobile operators in the country.
It also lacks a broad portfolio of services, such as data and roaming packs. The brand
has made some efforts to improve its customer care service. It recently launched a new
app called Ufone MyCare that allows users to manage their account, recharge or pay
bills and get in touch with the customer care team in case of any issue. The brand has
also started offering local and international roaming packs, which are now available on
its website. Ufone is currently focusing on improving customer experience by
introducing new services and addressing issues that have been plaguing the mobile
industry in Pakistan for years. However, Ufone is still far behind its competitors when it
comes to customer care and service. It has a lot of room for improvement in this area
and should focus on introducing new features and services that will help it catch up with
the market leaders.

Corporate Social Responsibility:

Ufone is not only a competitive communication leader in the market but an organization
that has always been working towards an orderly corporate social responsibility (CSR)
agenda. The company’s journey toward becoming a socially responsible organization
was initiated in 2009. Ufone’s CSR policy is based on three pillars: Human Resource
Development, Community Support, and Corporate Responsibility. The company has

learning centers, provided electricity to remote villages, and built health facilities in
these areas. The company is also improving the literacy rate of underprivileged
communities by providing them with access to technology and education. Ufone has

various issues including health care, nutrition, hygiene, etc., as well as providing them
with the necessary equipment to do so. Ufone has also launched a program called

them with laptops and smartphones so that they can access educational material online.

Labour Climate
Ufone first opened its office in Islamabad on 29 2001. But when it expanded further in
more cities and highways it needed lots of labour and not just any labour but engineers,
IT specialists, software developer etc as it needed to open lots service centres and
offices for performing tasks and since many of its offices were located away from cities
on highways usually near their signal towers to ensure everything is working properly.

Proximity to Market
Since only the people within the area of reach of network can use Ufone services
therefore, it was the hardest part to reach more people because its market was
everywhere. It successfully reached more than 750 cities and has a network coverage
for more than 10,000 locations and across all major highways in Pakistan.
Following is the graph of its growth when it started it held only 1% of the market now it
owns more than 20%
UFONE came on the market when it was mainly captured by Mobilink and InstaOne. It
had been a difficult task to become part of such market in a country like Pakistan where
people were unaware about cell phones and it was a position symbol at that time. Ufone
changed the complete scenario and when it came in the market it provided with really
cheap mobile interconnection and contacting rates that have been offered neither by
MOBILINK nor by InstaOne.

Along with the case of minimum call rates, clear audio and best network, Ufone offered
its customers simplified tariffs with no hidden charges. With a strong and uniquely
humorous communication way that has become Ufone's signature across all advertising
advertising, Ufone provides its customers multiple reasons to laugh.

During the year July 2005 to June 2006, further widened its coverage and has added
new metropolitan areas and highways. Ufone has network coverage in more than 750
towns, towns and across all major highways of the united states. This customer
concentration and best offering has allowed Ufone to build a subscriber basic of over 20
million in under ten years.
It even reached jammu and kashmir and was awarded to reach such an area and
enable people to use cellular devices there.
It did it by opening service centres at all accessible locations and setting up towers at
new locations. It even provided some services directly through mobile phones so people
can access it easily.
At the end its widespread all across pakistan and you can get a sim from your nearest
service center anywhere in Pakistan.

Quality of life
Ufone ensures the quality of life its offering is very good.
As the better atmosphere a company will provide the better it’s employees will work and
the more motivated they will be.

"It’s very good company. A friendly environment. Helping staff members. Good pay

good and reliable place. I highly recommend this place."
A Finance manager says
“My company and team strives to provide a full-value experience for our valued
customers.
Environment was very good, my company give opportunities to learn new skills and try
to polish employees. And office decorum was excellent (like Google).
Benefits were also very good.and specialy for female ,they give pick and drop, medical,
support in education etc.
But big drawback was that no improvements and initiatives taken by Management.
Becuase of this revenue was decreasing and due to this the downsizing was started
since 3 years specially Management level.employees were unsatisfied and insecured.”
A HRM Manager says,
“I gained a lot of experience working in Ufone, as i had come from PR and
communication background and work in HR in Ufone, however i was working a
employee relation manager and also taking care of internal and external communication
for the company.”
Ufone has an overall rating of 3.7 out of 5, based on over 207 reviews left anonymously
by employees. 74% of employees would recommend working at Ufone to a friend and
74% have a positive outlook for the business.
We know from their policy and experiences shared that this company provides work
from home aswell, it gives salaries on time, it has good salary package, insurance, paid
leaves and vacations, bonuses, free drinks etc
Therefore we can say that the quality of life within Ufone is very good and well
managed.

Structure of the organization

In Ufone, the organizational structure is veritably flat and generally consolidated. All
issues must be reported to the parent establishment, and all pretensions and
programs are authorized at the loftiest situations. still, the structure is decentralized at
the departmental position. It has a mongrel organizational structure, which is, in our
opinion, the finest structure for fleetly changing diligence, particularly the cellular
business. Because scale is necessary to get work done in a formal way, people bear
leaders or someone to look out for them from advanced situations. This is true for both
lower operation and lowernon-management people. workers at Ufone claim that in the
telecom assiduity, we bear originality, swiftness, and prosecution. We hire new
graduates every time since we prefer new and youthful gift because of their written
communication, station, knowledge, and bents. thus, an association can not develop
unless and until people are free to state their opinions and new ideas. To support this
principle, workers should have the capability to make opinions inside each department,
which may be fulfilled through decentralizing.

Transportation,Utilities and operating cost

Ufone services are usually activated through network so there is not much
transportation cost their physical products like sims and package cards are
manufactored through other companies through contract and shipped to all its
franchises and service centres.
It’s other equipment like a sim card machines and other eqipment are provided for free
to mobile shops all across Pakistan which is costly but the profit generated by the sales
and subscription is so much that the company always stays in surplus
It’s customers are growing rapidly despite of the high investment the company still
makes good profit following graph shows the growth of company at this time

Average profit per stoner( ARPU) for the telecom assiduity has stayed at or near
Rs223 per month in recent times( data source PTA), despite recent sharp increases in
the cost of serviceability and other operating charges. Scale matters, and in order to
increase its client base, Ufone demanded further diapason. Ufone needs to take off
financially because other drivers have performed more. The PTCL Group's cellular and
other wireless earnings( Ufone topline) were recorded at Rs50 billion in CY20, down 9
from Rs55 billion in CY19, according to the group's periodic report. Given that the
topline for CY20 was at the same position as it was for CY17, there has been a double-
number reduction in factual terms. Ufone's income increased by 5 from 1HCY20 to over
Rs26 billion in 1HCY21.

Propinquity to The Parent Company

Pak Telecom Mobile Limited( PTML) is a wholly possessed attachment of Pakistan
Telecommunication Company Limited( PTCL) that started its operations in January
2001 under the brand name' Ufone'. As a result of PTCL's privatization, Ufone came a
part of the Emirates Telecommunication Corporation Group( Etisalat) in 2006. Since its
inauguration, Ufone 4G has concentrated on the Pakistani people, furnishing them with
the most suitable communication modes and services, at the stylish price for them, and
enabling them to do further than make calls. Ufone 4G offers guests the smallest call
rates, clearest sound, and the stylish network annuity, plus a simplified tariff with no
retired costs. Because at Ufone 4G, it's each about U, the company guarantees its
guests that they will stay ahead of the wind as the telecoms assiduity develops and
evolves.
