State Weather Forecast Bulletin for Uttar Pradesh
13th January 2023
Time of Issue–13:00 Hrs. IST
1. Significant Weather Features:
♦ The Western Disturbance as a trough in middle tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 km
above mean sea level roughly along Long. 70°E to the north of 32°N.
♦ The induced cyclonic circulation over north Rajasthan & neighbourhood now lies over northeast
Rajasthan & neighbourhood and extends upto 1.5 km above mean sea level.
# In the influence of above system:-

♦ Weather is most likely dry over the state on 14th and 15th Jan 2023.
♦ Rain/Thundershowers very likely at isolated places over the state on 13th January 2023.
♦ Dense Fog is very likely at isolated places over the state on 13th January 2023 and dense to very dense
fog at isolated places over the state on 14th and 15th Jan 2023.
♦ Cold day conditions very likely at isolated places over the state on 16th January 2023
2. Main Weather Observations: -

Weather was dry over East UP and Rain/thundershower occurred at isolated places over West UP. Dense to very
dense fog occurred at isolated places over East UP and Moderate to dense occurred at isolated places over West
UP. Cold day to Severe Cold day conditions occurred at isolated places over East UP and Cold day conditions
occurred at isolated places over West UP.
On Thursday, The day temperatures were rose markedly in Moradabad & Meerut divisions; rose
appreciably in Varanasi, Ayodhya, Kanpur, Bareilly & Agra divisions and no large changed in the remaining
divisions over the state. They were markedly below normal (-5.0 0C or less) in Gorakhpur, Ayodhya divisions;
appreciably below normal (-3.1°C to -5.0°C) in Lucknow division; below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) in,Varanasi,
Kanpur, Agra, Jhansi divisions and normal ( -1.5°C to 1.5°C ) in the remaining divisions over the state. The
Highest maximum temperature over the state was 25.7°C recorded at Churk(O).
The night temperatures were rose appreciably in Gorakhpur, Moradabad, Jhansi & Lucknow division and
no large changed in the remaining divisions over the state and they were below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) in
Gorakhpur division; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) in Jhansi division; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) in
Lucknow, Mordabad,Agra & Meerut divisions and normal ( -1.5°C to 1.5°C ) in the remaining divisions over the
state. The lowest minimum temperature over the state was 6.2°C recorded at Gorakhpur (O).
