ABOUT INSPIRON
INSPIRON is an Annual intercollegiate Techno-Managerial fest organised by the Training and
Placement Office (TPO), UVCE. The word INSPIRON describes the ingenuity of young minds
in search of stable platform ready as a showcase. The motive is to enable students to
express their originality and creativity both as a skill and as an art in a miniature stage.
Having a history of more than a decade, this technical extravaganza has seen a footfall of
over 1500 students every year, who bring in their innovative ideas as a part of events and
competitions and reach great heights. The student cliques geared up for campaigning,
organising, and decorating giving the fest the glory of a fair.
INSPIRON this year has explored captivating energy, glorious power, and enchanting world
of PLANET-B as its astounding theme. In a surge of theories talking about another habitable
planet, the main objective of PLANET B was to create solutions for a sustainable living in
these new lands. The theme became a great crowd puller, where students of various
prestigious colleges across the state attended the fest
In order for what we do to be excellent, how we do it needs to be precise. A theme always

talks! This year TPO is came up with a new Planet.
Theme: Planet B! Let’s plan it

In a surge of theories talking about another habitable planet technologies are budding in a
narrow colony restricting the idea of having a life out of the earth. Is it really worth it? We
don’t know yet. But if the universe was predictable it would cease to be flavourful! That’s
why the blind journey of this exploration need not be planned but need to be experienced.
What do we do if we wake up on a dim light planet, with an extra smooth surface making it
difficult to even to stand, the more you go you see land but little to no water. There are
humans and only humans around you. No trees but saplings, and you don’t know their
secrets. There’s no green witch meridian but you should clock the time. The composite air
you breathe is not completely Oxy-Nitrogen. There are no Einsteins and Eddisons, we need
to become one! Finally the question is how do we live?
So this year INSPIRON went on to answer this. The pool of events following the theme was
believed to stimulate the creative minds for solutions for sustainable life in the new land.
The excitement was on the wheel.
ABOUT TPO
The Training and Placement Office started by Dr. M Channa Reddy in 1989 has been an
integral part of UVCE by being an irreplaceable unit in the all-round development of the
college. From gathering plenty of industry connections to improving the quality of the
students both in technical and managerial phases, Training and Placement Office has stayed
true to its name and stand strong as a liaison between the industry and students. Hosting
more than 150 companies and roping over 500+ offers for 400+ students annually, it enables
the college rank among the top 5 colleges in the state with respect to placements. The
entirety and the integrity of TPO has been carried as a legacy over the years. The current
placement officer is Dr.B M RajaPrakash, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering.
TPO’s vision is to help students to achieve their career objectives through training in soft
and technical skills and exposure to corporate environment. TPO not just focuses on
maximum placements but also on the diversity and variety of companies from all sectors of
the industries

organizations. That’s the root of anthropology too. The curated young minds are like the
budding plants, the more you nourish them the more they flourish. Organising a techno-
managerial fest like INSPIRON definitely demands an unparalleled human resource along
with a strong pecuniary support that can be provided by economic leaders of state. In
exchange to the monetary support borrowed, the campus offers a stage for various
products of the companies to exhibit their features. The stalls installed as a part of the fest
are going to showcase them. As its an inter-college fest the students across the state will
have their gaze spotted on, thus giving the needed advertisements. As effective as it is by its
virtue, the barter system should be playing its role.

ELLUCIAN, The Co-Title Sponsor:
Inspiron 22.0 was once just an idea, we all could witness the visuals of planet-b appearing
front of us but we needed a support in the form of sponsorship from an organization who
would believe in our idea, vision and capabilities. They would have to understand the way
we look at things, provide their valuable inputs and travel with us through the highs and
lows.
Ellucian was the organization who were ready to trust and support us by joining us as the
Co-Title sponsor for Inspiron 22.0.
We had hosted Ellucian at UVCE for the campus hiring program in the month of November
which was conducted successfully, team Ellucian were great support for the placement drive
to be completed smoothly.
In the second week of November, we were in search of sponsors for Inspiron 22.0 during
which we felt there is a need for an organization like Ellucian who would support us by
sponsoring Inspiron 22.0. We contacted Santhosh from Ellucian and explained him about
the events, importance and other information about Inspiron 22.0.
After giving discussing various details and having few discussions, team Ellucian had
confirmed their participation in Inspiron 22.0 as Co-Title sponsor. Later we presented the
more details about Inspiron 22.0 to Santhosh and ______ from Ellucian and sent mock-ups
of how the fest was planned and team approved our ideas and gave their inputs as well
which really helped us move forward with implementing our ideas.
From that initial meet with team Ellucian until Inspiron 22.0, Ellucian have constantly been
in touch with the team giving their valuable inputs and stood as a strong support by
appreciating and valuing our efforts for Inspiron 22.0.
Ellucian have been our partners in campus hiring program from a really long time and we
wish to continue working together in future as well.
We would like to thank Ellucian for being constant support and important driving force for
Inspiron 22.0.
CURTAIN RAISERS
As the fest days were approaching, to make students more aware of the fest the team
planned for curtain raisers that pulled the crowd and gave more elegance to the fest. It all
started with setting up a whole new Instagram page dedicated for INSPIRON 22.0. The first
post wnet out to public was the coming soon poster addressing and welcoming the most
awaitred annual-techno managerial fest of the college. Moving ahead, booster challenges
were posed for the students to boost auara of the fest in the surroundings of the college.
The first booster being Tag that Alien Amigo! As a part of this students were supposed to
post the most wired and alienstic photos of their friends and tag the INSPIRON page for us.
The most captivating pictures won goodies by the team.
The next booster challenge was called Fake Fights! As a part of this challenge Training and
Placement Office UVCE took a fun dig at all the other clubs of the campus like G2C2, TATVA
and Chethana etc.
The next way to attract audience was to arrange for the events that was filled with fun had a
free entry for all the UVCE students. Those events being INSPIRUN, PLANIT-B, IBM
Workshop.
INSPIRUN
Run often.. But never outrun your joy of running
As a part of INSPIRON Run long 22.0 booster challenge a short marathon of 2.2km from the
college campus to Cubbon Park was witnessed by the all the greenery of the garden city on
the way. The marathon did not cease to be a race of joy, a race of wonder! The faculties
joining the student clique and cheering them up with their good old energy was the
highlight. Totally the day was filled with laughs and sighs! The after math was so much more
with the street interview that covered all the curious questions our team had for the
students. What is more than sliding few moves with your best buddies! It all came to a nice
end with the great DJ for a while with everyone taking their wings out!
The participants were provided with refreshments and certificates, with goodies/prizes for
winners of the games held during the same day. All the enthusiasts, raised thier spirits,
joined us for the blithesome run, and elevated their dopamine with some music!
PLANIT-B
Objective of the event:
Plan-It B was an immersive online experience where participants were trapped on Planet-B
and had to find their way by uncovering and solving hidden clues. To find their way out, they
must uncover and solve hidden clues. Each moment of discovery brought the participants
closer to completing the mission.
Outcome of the event:

The event was hosted on Google Slides and Google Forms. Participants were given 10
questions to solve from two slides. The puzzles were themed on all things related to space.
To find clues, they had to tap around the scene and check if an object led to the link to a
clue. Once they solved the clue, they had to go to the Google form and fill in their answer.

The winning team of the event solved 7 out of 10 questions and submitted first. The event

IBM WORKSHOP
IBM Cloud Products Session was conducted as part of INSPIRON 22.0 from 21st November
to 25th November 2022. It was a multi-day session where IBM experts/developers shared
details about the products and explained how it can be utilized by students for their
projects.

Students were asked to create an account on the IBM Cloud Platform and apply the
concepts learned in the session.
TECHINSPIRE
FLAGSHIP EVENTS:
Events were the heart of the fest. The most carefully curated ones were called flagship
events. This was organized by the placement coordinators. Later the call for organizers gave
the students of UVCE to come forward and present their ideas. The most fascinating
presentations that was inline with the theme of the fest were selected. A number of times
organizers meet was called and events were fine-tuned with the assistance coordinators
team.
A call for volunteers broadcast was sent to the students asking them to join hands for the
various preparations for the fest. Decoration consumed the huge part of the fest work which
needed large amounts of human resources from the pool of volunteers. Repeatedly held
volunteers meet helped a lot to synchronize the work and coordinate well with the
volunteers. The design team was heavily invested in making high-end posters for these
events that captured the attention of students while passing by across the college. The entry
fees for the events were fixed Following are all the events that was held and organized as

SYMPOSIUM
SYMPOSIUM
The event symposium conducted by the TEDxUVCE curated by the Training and placement
office of UVCE was a grand success and our goal of spreading ideas and voices of imminent
speakers was accomplished grandiosely. Scholars from various fields graced us with their
presence and have inspired many with their words of wisdom.
Objective of the Event: The purpose of the “Symposium” was to engage the community in
arts and ideas based on the theme “Planet B“. The audience interest received was
overwhelmingly positive and the team was privileged to have efficient speakers.
Outcome of the Event: The event was held on the 2nd and 3rd of December 2022. The
event was held at SIR M. VISVESVARAYA SENATE HALL, UVCE with an audience of about a
hundred enthusiastic students, parents, and like-minded professionals.
Ted Speakers:
1. SUJAN SENGUPTA (Professor and Chair, Theoretical Astrophysics Group, IIA, Bangalore)
The event started on the 2nd of December by Sujan Sengupta who happens to be a
professor and Chairperson of Theoretical Astrophysics Group in IIA, Bangalore on the topic
of “Search for ExtraTerrestrial Life – Are we Alone Out There?” which focused on various
scientific methods on how to discover extraterrestrial life in the observable universe.
2. NARENDRA REDDY T (Scientist, C-SMPM Tools and Aggregates, Bangalore)

It was followed by a speech by Narendra Reddy T on the topic “Industry 4.0, Smart
Manufacturing and Ultra machine development, applications.” which put light on various
methodologies exploring Planet B could become feasible.
3. B S SHYLAJA (Ex-Director and Visiting Scientist, Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium, Bangalore)

Then the last speech for the day was given by B.S. SHYLAJA. In online mode, she enlightened
us on the topic “How do we discover extrasolar planets”. Which put forth various ideas on
how we go about discovering a new planet sustainable for human life.
4. Padma Shri PRAHLADA RAMA RAO (Former Vice Chancellor of DIAT and Ex-Director of
DRDL, Bangalore) The second day of the event was flagged by a talk from Padma Shri
PRAHLADA RAMA RAO on the topic “Alternate Energy Resources on Other Planets, surviving
without Petroleum and Coal on Planet B” where he shared insights & experience on various
energy resources that could be used to make Planet B habitable.
5. VIVEK S KAUL (Creative Director, Young Spikes Asia 10 and IEEE Scholar, Bangalore)
The event then proceeded with a speech from VIVEK S KAUL, an alumnus of UVCE, he
instantly connected with the audience and shared his views on the topic “Should humans
colonize other planets?” which proved the minds of our audience, and various ideas were
shared during the event.

After a brief time for lunch, the event was then proceeded by A ANANTHA RAMU who then
discussed various thoughts & ideas.

Conclusion:
The event concluded successfully with the audience taking back a brick load of ideas and
inspiration. In the end, refreshments were also served to the speakers and the audience
MOCK PLACEMENTS
Mock Placements is a dry run of annual placement drives that happens in final year of
engineering. The motive is to enable students get the hands on experience of actual
recruitment process that companies conduct to hire them for particular role offering eye
catching packages. As a team the major drawback when it comes to placements that we
have noticed is students being unable to get adjusted to the rapid process of placements
which is entirely new for them. Keeping this as our concern this year Mock Placements was
conducted as part of INSPIRON 22.0 to bring the total awareness regarding the campus
placements among the pre-final year students foreseeing the great advantage for the next
year placement activities.

More than 290 candidates registered for the Mock Placements on explara platform. The
first round was a pen-paper test that had 30 questions. There were two types of paper, IT
and Non-IT. IT paper had 15 general aptitude questions and 15 Computer Science related
questions where as Non-IT paper had 30 general aptitude questions. The test was
conducted for 40 mins.
30 candidates were shortlisted from the first round and then second round was completely
virtually technical. IT candidates had 3- question coding round on hacker rank platform. The
Non-IT candidates had 30 online core multiple choice questions round which were electrical
and mechanical concept based. This test was for 1 hour.
5 candidates from each stream were shortlisted from the second round and third round was
a face to face interview that had 3 panels for IT, 2 panels for mechanical core, and 2 panels
for ECE and EEE core. This went on for 3hrs where industry experts who were our alumni’s
interviewed the candidates.
Top candidates from the previous round were made to go through the HR round where
seasoned HR professional from Ellucian who were powering partner interviewed the
candidates and gave the final verdict.
3 candidates, one from each stream mechanical, ECE and EEE and IT were declared as
winners based on the average scores.

Conclusion:
The candidates went through real to real screening process which built enough pressure for
them to realise the significance of preparation for the palcements. The panellists who were
industry experts really gave us their precious time to help the students and organizers to
achieve the goal and purpose of the event

MERGE IT
Merge it was an event designed to test the fluency of the students in data structures and
any of the programming languages that they are comfortable. With the inclusion of pair
coding in the last round, we encourage students to have well-structured code which is
readable and can be easily understood. Merge it also stimulates teamwork, leadership and
communication as it consists of 2 participants in a team who have to work together and
complement each other to emerge as winners.
Through Merge It, we were able to closely examine the skill of students in data structures
and we also included blind coding which made the student to stand on his toes and try to
minimize syntactical errors as much as possible after which students had to use their
knowledge in data structures to optimize the code that they blind coded and in the final
round their team work, clarity in code and communication skills were to be displayed in
order to successfully complete switch coding.

INAUGURATION CEREMONY
Though all the preparations for the fest was started a month ago, it was time for all the
behind the scenes to be a fine movie on the stage. The inauguration ceremony started with
all the dignitaries occupying the dais seats and adding more to the decorum of the stage. It
started with A Shriya Placement Coordinator from ISE giving out a warm welcome speech.
Then the day was brightened by lighting lamp, praying for the success of the fest. Later
Shreya Shetty Placement Coordinator delivered note on Inspiron 22.0. Dr. Prof. B M
Rajaprakash, department of Mechanical engineering addressed the gathering with a short
glimpse of working of Training and Placement Office. Later the felicitation was done to the
guest of honours by the honourable Principal and the Placement Officer. This was followed
by the inaugural address by chief guest from Ellucian, our powering partner. The program at
last witnessed the presidential address by our honourable principal and thus it was
concluded by Chidanand B S Placement Coordinator from Mechanical through vote of
thanks that was conveyed to all the dignitaries who made their presence in the program.
The Inauguration was scheduled to happen on 2nd December 2022. The ceremony started at
10:30 which was spread across 2 hours. The wishful words form the dignitaries of Ellucian
and the college marked the great beginning of the fest. The felicitation was done to the
former placement officers according to their tenure. Dr. K B Raja former HOD Department of
Electronics and Communication, Dr. Paul Vizian Faculty Dean Department of Mechanical
Engineering, Dr. Thriveni J Department of Computer Science Engineering were all our former
placement officers who gave their selfless service to their posts
The felicitation was also done to the members of Ellucian team with all due to respect from
the principal and the placement officer. Rishi Nayar, the India HR from Ellucian was the chief
guest for the program. With him was his team mates, Alan Charan, Santhosh and Naveen
Kumar
CLOSING CEREMONY:
Though all the preparations for the fest was started a month ago, it was time for all the
behind the scenes to be a fine movie on the stage. The inauguration ceremony started with
all the dignitaries occupying the dais seats and adding more to the decorum of the stage. It
started with A Shriya Placement Coordinator from ISE giving out a warm welcome speech.
Then the day was brightened by lighting lamp, praying for the success of the fest. Later
Shreya Shetty Placement Coordinator delivered note on Inspiron 22.0. Dr. Prof. B M
Rajaprakash, department of Mechanical engineering addressed the gathering with a short
glimpse of working of Training and Placement Office. Later the felicitation was done to the
guest of honours by the honourable Principal and the Placement Officer. This was followed
by the inaugural address by chief guest from Ellucian, our powering partner. The program at
last witnessed the presidential address by our honourable principal and thus it was
concluded by Chidanand B S Placement Coordinator from Mechanical through vote of
thanks that was conveyed to all the dignitaries who made their presence in the program.

ABOUT THEME ROOM
A theme should reflect the objectives of an event and unify them. It must reflect the
purpose of the event. The theme of the Inspiron 22.0 was "Planet-B" which focuses on
building and improving the technologies on a newly habitable planet. The theme helped the
students to come up with various ideas for organizing the events. To represent the theme
sensible in the fest, a theme room was implemented.
The theme room was a part of the decoration of the fest where an entire room was covered
with black clothes to make sure no light rays enter the room. Replication of the solar system
was done by hanging planets and stars. Clouds were created with the help of cotton and LED
string lights, a spaceship was present in the middle of stars glowing in the dark room.
We introduced a new language named “Sychi” to use in Planet-B that was verbally
showcased on the wall which helped the students to decode the language forming a catalyst
that would help them to participate in events organized in the fest.
It took around 24 hours to successfully implement the well-formed theme room with the
efforts of 15 volunteers under the guidance of Placement Coordinators. Many preparations
were done by the volunteers by painting the lanterns to resemble the planets. Stars and
spaceships were made using the creativity of the best.

Feedback:
Students and visitors enjoyed and appreciated the theme room where a physical
representation of the theme “Planet-B” was done.
PERFORMANCES FROM CELEBRITIES
Musical by Vasuki Vaibhav:
The most waited presence was of our special guest Vasuki Vaibhav the renowned singer and
actor of Karnataka. The 2nd day of the fest was witnessed by the singer. He left the crowd in
awe by singing his romantic melody block buster in Kannada “Innunu Bekagide”. This was
followed by the most famous “Mansinda Yarunu kettoralla” which brought us back to old
Bigboss days.
Finally embracing the crowd the singer ended his great session of half hour conveying
thanks to the support led by the team and the dignitaries of the college and thus we gave
him a farewell.
Stand-Up Comedy by Niroop Mohhan:
The great performer NIroop Mohan was the centre of attraction of that night. The witty
performer played with the crowd with his words like a pro. The students loved him for the
straight classic comedy and his humble attitude. The content mainly focussed on middle
class life and engineering fun to target the audience in a great deal. He stole the show with
minimum of 40 mins we allotted him. Niroop always maintained an amazing relationship
with us from beginning. All we had to do was contact him via Instagram. He paid us utmost
respect and replied back instantly. We were proud of him that he became our successful
venture of that night.
When no neighbours around had neighbours around:
No neighnours around (NNA) is an alt-rock band whose music is based on Garage rock, R
and B and metal. Fomed in 2019, the band consists of Adhithya Shankar (Vocals), Romario
Norman (Guitar), Vishwesh Siva (bass) and Vikas Gotla (drums). Over the years NNA has
palyed various live shows across their home city, and have also shared the stage with other
artists like JBABE and SKRAT.
When it was all set to conclude, the crowd needed something to wake them and charge
them up. There it was time for some rock and some metal. And we had our band masters on
the stage setting up their game. As a filler going on the stage was the “look alike cam!” The
crowd had great fun looking at their selves on the big screen. Then it was already time for
the band bang! From the pure western metal music to local “Santhoshakke” made the
audience go crazy.
PERFORMANCES BY STUDENT CLUBS
What is a fest without a beat and few steps that’ll make few hearts dance too. If UVCE is a
chariot, the student clubs are the incredible horses that can ride to the moon as well. There
is Paradox for music, Momento for Dance, and drama is a monopoly of TATVA. We at TPO
had sent invite to all our fellow club mates requesting them to bright up the night with their
great performances.
Paradox:
As planned, our Paradox team was first to go starring their best singers get the crowd on
roller coaster from rock to melody switch. The instrumentals made the audience cheer for
more songs. The great applause made the artists to have a big fat smile on their faces.
What does paradox say?

We had started to practice for Inspiron with excitement as soon as the dates for the fest
was announced.Totally there were 10 members which included 6 singers and 4
instrumentalists.
We performed covers of the following: Phirse Udd Chala, Lokada Kaalaji and Counting Stars.
Core team was very satisfied with the performance considering the past experiences we all
had on stage. And this turned out to be true when we performed on the stage, the cheers
and chants from the crowd was marvellous. After getting such impressive feedback from the
crowd, we were all proud of paradox as a team.
Momento:
Next was team Memento, who started their performance with a bang. As the name says
the momentum they carried through out performance was astounding. The crowd cheered
them for the fantastic performances. From a great combination costume to extreme
coordination on stage the team did great work together.
What does Momento say?

The Intercollegiate Techno-Managerial Extravaganza Inspiron 22.0 was conducted on 2nd
and 3 rd of December 2022 in University of Visvesvaraya College of Engineering and was
organized by the Training and Placement Office of UVCE. UVCE Momento performed a
dance medley on the cultural night of Inspiron 22.0. The preparation for the performance
started 10 days prior to the fest by a team of nine. The routine was to rehearse from 9:00-
17:00 everyday with requisite breaks in between.
The preparation started with song selection wherein every member suggested their choice
of songs. The songs were majorly put together on the basis of the rhythm and beats, how
well they sync together and on the basis of the framework of our choreography.
We danced to the following songs1) Industry baby- Lil Nas X
2) Scooby Doo Pa Pa- DJ Kass
3) Baby Shark
4) Unholy- Sam Smith and Kim Petras
5) BTBT- B.I and Soulja Boy
A costume rehearsal was done as well to have a fair idea of how the performance would
turn out on the final day. The audience found the performance to be visually appealing.
They were very encouraging and thrilled throughout the dance. The team was pleased with
the performance. We wish to get more creative with our choreography and rehearse more.
The whole experience of learning and performing this dance was fun. We hope to deliver
improved performances in the future.
Tatva:
Next team on the roll was TATVA. The gang had it all planned to get crowd with their great
script. Based on current hot trends, the artists went on with great sarcasm and levity to
deliver their dialogues.

Inspiron-22 was one of the most awaited fests for humans of UVCE and even for aliens!
Tatva had prepared a short skit based on the theme “Planet-B”. Team was of nine members
including Akshay D S (4th year EEE), Sanjana Rao (3rd year CSE), Swastik Vaidya (3rd year
CSE), Lakshmi Aishwarya (2nd year ISE), Pranathi Naidu (2nd year EEE), Vaibhav Burli (2nd
year ECE), Vijay (2nd year Mechanical), Vishnu skanda (2nd year EEE), Vyshnavi shetty (2nd
year ISE).
The skit had aliens visiting from space, mad scientists, HR managers, and even “POLICE”!
The skit was centered around an interview situation that had many comical references,
funny dialogues, weird costumes and, of course, drama. The entry of Crushmika Manganna
was directly into the hearts of many while Arjun Cheddy had a hard time getting a job from
Sukku, the lively HR manager of a very popular aerospace company (managed by KAAGE,
sorry, DRONE Prathap). Shaakini, the occult scientist really was scary. The alien duo of PK
and DK stole the show along with Sukku. Finally, a case for Agni IPS and his constable to
solve! Ah, you should’ve been there for the ending.
The audience was left wanting for more. It was really a great honour to see how audience
reacted after the performance. special mention goes to Koushalya (2nd year EEE) for doing
the face painting for the tatva team.Her painting brought life into alien character. The
trailer of Tatva’s short film after the skit was another thrill accompanied with the energy of
uvce. The audience got two delights, back-to-back!
