 Explain that most Macbooks have the same essential features, but there are also some
differences. This leads into the next section...
 Macbook Pro vs. Macbook Air. Summarize the differences and similarities. Not
too long. You don’t have to get too technical, just explain what it means. For
example, instead of mentioning the exact weight of the Macbook, you can just say
that the Macbook Air is lighter than the Pro. Also, as you go through this
rundown, keep in mind the most relevant features for seniors, e.g. ease of
portability, big screen, simplest to use, etc.

The MacBook is Apple's line of Macintosh laptop computers. The MacBook range comprises
three models: the original MacBook (2006-present), the MacBook Pro (2006-present), and
the MacBook Air (2006-present) (2008-present).
MacBook Pro:
The MacBook Pro was the first Mac notebook to employ Intel CPUs, and the Pro line
features the most powerful processors and largest screens. Apple will replace the Intel CPU
with its own M1 chip in 2020.
The MacBook Pro is the pinnacle of the MacBook range, making it the most sought (and
expensive) laptop wearing the Apple logo. This is due to the fact that it is packed with
technology, ranging from powerful processors (up to i7 or M1 Max) to discrete Radeon
graphics cards.
MacBook Air:
The Air's touchpad introduced gesture-based multitouch, which was first seen on the iPhone.
The Air received a high-resolution Retina Display, Touch ID, and USB-C connectors in
2018. Until 2015, the Air without the Retina Display screen was the entry-level laptop.
The Air is, as one might assume, light and thin. It's an excellent choice for anyone who
frequently travels with their laptop and does not want to be bothered by a bulky setup. It also
has a remarkable battery life of 15 hours, which has other laptop manufacturers salivating.
And it should handle most business operations, from spreadsheets to emails, for new remote
workers.
MacBook Pro vs MacBook Air:
Apple announced its M1 chip in 2020, and it debuted inside the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro,
and Mac Mini. These immediately rose to prominence as among of the greatest Macs money
can buy. The Cupertino-based tech behemoth then unveiled new MacBook Pro 2021 models
driven by the M1 Pro and M1 Max CPUs. These new Macs have not just improved CPUs, but
also a chassis makeover that reintroduces the MagSafe charger and other connectors. They're
available in 14- and 16-inch sizes, with smaller bezels and notched displays on each. The M2
chip was revealed in 2022 and was first used in the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro.
Considering that the 13-inch MacBook Pro and Air now share the same chip, you may
suppose that the two computers are nearly identical. There are, however, some significant
distinctions between the Apple M2-powered MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. There are even
more distinctions between them and the other Air and Pro variants available.
Both the MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro are wonderful laptops in their own right, but
which one you choose depends on your intended use.
 The Air variant is the thinnest and lightest of the pro.
 The Air is a better choice for basic daily tasks like browsing and email.
 The 13-inch Pro is the most affordable Pro variant.
 The most expensive variant, the Pro 16-inch, is geared at design pros.
 The Air only has a 13-inch screen, whereas the Pro has a 13-inch and a 16-inch
screen, both with a processor and RAM sub-variants.
 All Pro models now feature the distinctive 'Touch Bar' above the keyboard.
 Air has powerful hardware and technical specifications.
 The air battery timing is much more than the pro.
 The MacBook Air is recyclable and friendly to the environment.
