Parent / Teacher Interviews
Thank you to all those parents who attended the parent teacher interviews yesterday. 50% of our community attended the interviews and I thank them for their commitment to their childrens learning. Please note that I would like students to begin coming to the interviews so that they can listen and contribute to the discussions. I would like our students to show their parents how they are able to talk about their learning.

It is vitally important that children attend school as often as they can. Only keep them at home if they are very sick. Did you know: 1. that regular absenteeism causes children to fall behind in their achievement, 2. that the more a child is absent the more difficult it is for them to fit into the school system, 3. that New Zealand Schools have the authority to take parents to court if they suspect that parents are condoning regular absenteeism?

Art Exhibition ~ Term 3 2011

During Term 3 every student in the school will work at producing a piece of art for our Art Festival. This year the theme is Connections.

The absenteeism rate was 12.4%.

Bailey Road School

Rugby Fever will hit Bailey Road School on Friday 19th August at 1.15 pm. Come and support this event!

The Year 7 & 8 Technology Fee is a compulsory fee. Parents of students in Year 7 & 8 must pay this fee ~ $40.00 for the year. The money pays for the materials that children will use during the programme. Please help pay for the material your child will use in the Technology Programme.
