LET IT BE Review

1.) Two Of Us - Very simple and sounds nostalgic. It sure is a classic rock type of
sound.
2.) Dig a Pony - Ooohhh it is I think, live recorded with Lennon on the vocals. The
Beatles sounds mature here. It's
fitting as a song on highway drives. I dig it.
3.) Across the Universe - WOW! This very sounds dreamy with Lennon again on vocals
but distorted. I love the lyrics of
this one. Very vivid. Yeah this is my kind of vibe, I was caught off guard.
4.) I Me Mine - Within the song's context as this was their last recorded track as
a band (without Lennon), this really
feels like bluesy but still holding on to his ego. Love the instrumentations too,
the way how they changes tempo every
time.
5.) Dig it - Why did the vocalist sounds like Mick Jagger to me? lol. It's a filler
track, I guess.
6.) Let It Be - Of course, I prefer this version especially with the guitar solo
than in the greatest hits one. It does
sound iconic when you take into consideration the final moments of the band. Let it
be when things seems to fall apart.
Though it's repetitive, it is heartfelt.
7.) Maggie Mae - Another shorter tracks. It's a chant, I guess.
8.) I've Got a Feeling - Paul is too energetic in this one while Lennon is
nostalgic and sentimental, what a contrast.
Classic rock.
9.) One After 909 - Sounds like straight from 50s rock. Very groovey and dancey.
10.) The Long and Winding Road - Very melodic and nostalgic. Ahhh this hits me
home. The contrast between the melancholy
and the angelic voices, they just nailed it. What a track, I almost forget this
one.
11.) For You Blue - This is a very innovative Blues track. Sounds modern for their
time.
12.) Get Back - YEAH! In a way this sounds experimental as it came straight from
the rooftop concert. You have the riffs
and the basic lyrics, they just ad libbed the solo and some catchphrases.
