school as usual.When they reached home, their mother told them that today was the
Mid-autumn Festival. They will eat moon-cakes and enjoy the moon together on the
garden of their home. Mother also bought some lanterns for Xiao Ming and his
brother play. Xiao Ming quickly finished his homework for today and helped his
mother prepare some food. In the evening, Xiao Ming’s family sat on the garden
eating moon-cakes and chatting. At this time, Xiao Ming’s brother asked his mother:
Why do we celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival? After that Mother told the story of
the Mid-Autumn Festival for us. Originally in the ancient sky there are ten suns, and
then was a hero named HouYi shot down nine. Then he married a beautiful wife
called Chang E. One time, Chang E wanted to protect the elixir, so she eat all the
elixir. After that, Chang E Fly to the moon and she also separated with his husband.
So, Every year on this day, Chang E would come out of the palace to visit her
husband. My brother and i went to see the moon after hearing this story. Today the
moon is really big and round.
