A. Exegesis:
1.
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad
Made to his mistress' eyebrow. Then a soldier,
Full of strange oaths, and bearded like the pard,

With a sad song, he breathes like an oven


Made in the shape of his mistress' brow, after that, there was a soldier
Full of odd promise, bearded like a leopard

B. Explication:

1 and 2. The poem is written entirely in free verse. The writing style is
narrative. The poem describes seven different stages of life in a brief but
powerful manner.

3. Get lines with metaphor, simile, personification and hyperbole.
