Finishing Options:

We could provide our Clients with a variety of finishing options upon their request, Such as;
1. Polished
A high gloss and reflective surface finish bring out the colors in the marble.

2. Honed
A smooth matte surface finish

3. Tumble
Tumbling is vibrating the tiles with some special stones to give the surface a textured and
antique look whereby the edges are rounded and imperfect. this has a lightly rough
texture which is easily maintained and again less sensitive to scratches.
4. Brushed
An antique stone finish is produced by continuous scrubbing of the surface with wire
brushes. This helps to enhance the natural color of the stone and adds an extra bit of

5. Bush Hammer
A natural marble finish is achieved by the application of a hydraulic bush hammer to the
surface. The appearance of the bush hammered finish is industrial, with a large number
of close and small indents.

6. Sandblast
Sandblasted marble is made by hitting the marble surface with a high-pressure jet of
silica sand or steel in order to perform a slight abrasion.
7. Acid
Stone surfaces are treated with acids

8. Chiseled
Chiseled marble is obtained by carving grooves of different thicknesses on the marble
surface. This surface is produced manually by using a chisel and hammer and is used
mainly in wall claddings and facades.

9. Stripped
A Stone finish with parallel grooves cut into it. the finish may be executed by hand (hand-
tooled) or machine (machine-tooled)
10. Split face (ALMOST SAME AS ROCKFACE)
A split face is created using a hydraulic splitter to provide a rough texture that blends well
with natural wall stone and flagging. Rock face split larger than they need to be and then
trimmed to size with a hammer and chisel. This leaves the edges bold and rocky. The
edge will actually protrude beyond the top dimensions of the step.

12. Flamed
A finish when natural marbles are exposed to high temperature flames.
13. Antique
An antiqued finish is a process which gives the surface of the stone an aged or weathered
look, also called ‘antiquating’. Could be a Mix of finishing types.
