GENERAL ELECTIONS 2021

To all students of Mindoro State University - Bongabong:

Greetings of peace!
The General Elections in Mindoro State University – Bongabong is set to start
tomorrow, October 25 until October 29, 2021. According to Dr. Madonna P. Melchor,
our SAS Coordinator, we can conduct our election in classroom, department, clubs
and the rest of the student organizations anytime within the given schedule, provided
that no classes will be disrupted.
To conduct your election, you may use Facebook Group, Messenger Poll, Google
Form, Google Meet, Zoom Meeting or other platforms you think are convenient to
use. Better ask your adviser(s), classmates (for classroom elections), members and
officers (for dep’t, clubs and other student organizations) on how you would conduct
your election. We suggest you to set a virtual meeting to discuss these concerns
properly.
In case you plan to appoint officers instead of conducting elections, please see to it
that majority of the body agrees on the decision. For dep’t, clubs and the rest of the
student-organizations, you are required to send a request letter with a meeting
minutes to the Office of the Student Affairs Services before appointing officers.
Attached in this document is the composition of classroom officers with their
respective functions and the list of the clubs and organizations that you can join
including the link of their incumbent presidents and their Facebook pages.
We in the College Student Council (CSC) wish you to have a successful election and
a productive academic year to come!

 COMPOSITION OF CLASSROOM OFFICERS AND THEIR FUNCTIONS

EXECUTIVE POSITIONS

President
It shall be the duty of President to:
a. Preside the meeting of the classroom.
b. Sign all communication, resolution and papers of the classroom. (if
there is any)
c. Create other committees and appoints the chairman and members
thereof.
d. Represent the classroom in and out of the campus activities, in all
occasions, and every event where the organization needs such
representations.
e. Decide all minor complaints of his/her classmates brought to him,
question of orders, provided that this is consonance with his
authority.
f. Perform all duties as may be necessary an incidental to the discharge
and performance of the functions of his office with diligence and
responsibilities.
Vice President
It shall be the duty of the Vice President to:
a. Take function over the duties of the Classroom President whenever
the Classroom President position is vacant for the reasons of
absence, resignation, impeachment, death and physical and mental
disabilities.
b. Assist the president in all matters where his assistance is required.
 c. Performs such other duty as the Classroom President may assign to
him.
Secretary
It shall be the duty of the Secretary to:
a. Record and keep the minutes of the meetings and all the proceedings
in the classroom
b. Prepare and keep all the records, papers, correspondents and
statements.
c. Keep all his/her classmates informed of all meetings and activities in
the University
d. Performs such other duty as the Classroom President may assign to
him.
Treasurer
It shall be the duty of the Treasurer to:
a. Collect and keep the funds of the classroom
b. Sign the budgeting in accordance with the approval of the class
c. Prepare financial report whenever needed
d. Performs such other duty as the Classroom President may assign to
him.
Auditor
It shall be the duty of the Auditor to:
a. Audit the funds of the class and promulgate accounting and auditing
rules and regulation consistent with the school policy.
b. Monitor the financial transaction of the class.
c. Take charge on the duties of Ways and Means Committee as
additional job for him/her.
d. Performs such other duty as the Classroom President may assign to
him.
Seven (7) Committees:
1. It shall be the duties of the Ways and Means Committee to:
a. Plan and supervise all business transactions and fundraising of the
class.
b. Take charge of all the properties and supply of the class and
inventories thereof.
c. Performs such other duty as the Classroom President may assign to
him.

2. It shall be the duty of the Press and Advertisement Committee to:

a. Inform his/her classmates about the various University activities
b. Act as the spokesperson of the classroom.
c. Perform such other function as may be assigned from time to time.
 3. It shall be the duty of the Finance and Production Committee to:
a. Plan for Income Generating Project (IGP) of the classroom (if
necessary)
b. Coordinate all efforts to promote IGP of the CSC and other
organizations.
c. Perform such other function as may be assigned from time to time.

4. It shall be the duties of the Civic/Peace and Order Committee to:

a. Coordinate with all efforts to promote community service activity of
the school.
b. Monitor the beautification and cleanliness/sanitation of the
classroom.
c. Help in maintenance of peace and order during classes, meetings,
etc.
d. Perform such other function as may be assigned from time to time.

5. It shall be the duties of the Socio-Cultural Committee to:

a. Coordinate all effort to promote culture emphasis of Filipino heritage
in the school.
b. Assist the CSC in preparing socio-cultural activities in the school.
c. Perform such other function as may be assigned from time to time.

6. It shall be the duties of the Sports Committee to:

a. Coordinate with all efforts to promote sports activities in the school
b. Perform such other function as may be assigned from time to time.

7. It shall be the duties of Committee of External and Internal Affairs to:

a. Head all the committees in the classroom
b. Evaluates classroom activities, programs and projects and their
objectives.
c. Perform such other function as may be assigned from time to time.
