Our municipality of Alicia was formerly known and called as "Angadanan Viejo" or “ Old Angadanan,

but on 28 September 1949, after the late Philippine President Elpidio Quirino signed Executive Order No.
268, "Angadanan Viejo" was renamed and created the municipality of Alicia in honor of his wife, Dona
Alicia Syquia Quirino, who was murdered during the Japanese occupation.

A. LAND AREA
The municipality has a land area of 154.10 square kilometers which add up for 1.18% of Isabela's total
area. Based on these figures, the population density is computed at 479 inhabitants per square kilometer
or 1,242 inhabitants per square mile
B. POPULATION
Alicia has 34 barangays, and as of 2020, the latest recorded population was a total of 73,874 with an
annual population growth rate of 0.69% from the year 2015 to year 2020.
C. ANNUAL INCOME
The latest recorded annual regular revenue of Alicia online was for the fiscal year of 2016 and it was
₱163,793,759.60.
