ARCEBUCHE.

STEVEN RAILEY – M3_Ass1

1. What challenges did you run into while collaborating online with your team for your group

project?

 Delayed responses/ lack of response timeliness -in most of our online

collaborations sometimes we get a slow respond from our team unlike if we are

collaborating in person we can usually get the answers immediately. With online

collaboration, you’re dependent on others to respond in a timely manner.

 Poor Communication/ lack of communication initiation - Miscommunication,

misinterpretation, misunderstanding.

 Lack of proper planning-Every work effort, big or small, requires

planning. This helps create a shared vision for everyone involved,

which is essential for smooth collaboration. Lack of proper planning

leads to miscommunication, misunderstandings around what people’s

roles and responsibilities and conflicting .

2. Do you think this set up is complicated? YES or NO, and why?

 For me, No, even though because it has its disadvantages , I think every group

members can work this things out.. It still has its advantages, even though it can be

challenging sometimes. We become responsible for what is assigned to us in order for

the group to have a high grades. We can work anytime, anywhere also by just

bringing with us our laptops in a cafes or in our room. Since each member of a

collaborative team has a unique set of distinctive skills, they can approach

any problem from diverse angles and find more creative solutions.
3. How your group is monitored for members who are tardy in submitting their assigned work or

who fail to complete their tasks?

 Actually we’ve created a group chat for our group members and leader. And from time

to time, the leader will check if each members already did their assigned part of the

project. And if not, the leader and other members will send a message to the particular

member to make his/her assigned task as early as possible to be able to check if our

assigned task we’re answered properly and effectively.
