1. Among the rules (i.e., rules at home, in the community, at PSU), which rule do you find
constricting? Why? Explain and elaborate.
The rule that I find constricting was maintaining good behavior. Man is viewed as God's most
intelligent creation on the planet because he lives in society and has the ability to think, speak, and
act appropriately. Good manners are required in all aspects of life. They are required at meals,
meetings, queues, schools and libraries, restaurants, theaters, and homes. Good behavior is a sure
way to achieve success. They aid in making friends, winning people over, and gaining appreciation
and admiration. Good behavior adds new meaning and learning to life. It make social interactions
and behavior pleasant and charming We can promote social harmony, love, and friendship with our
fellow men by using good manners.

2. What do you think are the reasons behind these rules? Why?
The purpose of rules is to protect everyone’s safety and peaceful relationship. Rules are
important due to the fact that it will guide us in the right direction. It will always remind us to put
limitations with things and every actions that we do. Each one of us has different perspective,
beliefs, cultures, traditions, and traditions that we must respect for us to have a healthy
relationship and live a peaceful life.

3. What would your home be without these rules? Your community? The PSU? Why?
Everything will be in risk if we don’t have rules. Since everyone is free to do whatever they
want. This could lead to violence, theft and crimes. Equality, respect, justice and peace won’t
exist and our world will be chaotic.

PANGASINAN STATE UNIVERSITY
Lingayen Campus
There are rules everywhere, at home, school, and in the community. Going back from the time I
was a child until now, my mother had four rules for us: help with home duties, always obey our
parents, be responsible, and concentrate on our studies. My father is a barangay kagawad, and
whenever we go out, he reminds us that we should be at home by 9:00 p.m. because our barangay
has a curfew that we must obey. School is a place for learning, we must maintain good behavior
and comply to the dress code. We must set a good example for other students in order to have a
good and safe learning environment. Rules provide us with peace and security. They enable the
avoidance of chaos and misunderstandings. Rules are established to ensure that everyone in the
organization is treated equally. So, in order to get an output and maintain equality, the rules must
be followed.
