ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

SUMMARY
You will be working as part of a team to help deliver unique and niche
changes to customers ranging from installation of SATCOM systems to full
VIP completions. You will be producing engineering drawings and
compliance documentation to support the manufacture, installation, and
the approval of the project. This company are looking for experienced
candidates who have previous experience of working within a DOA to
CAA/EASA/FAA requirements either for fixed or rotary wing aircraft with a
good working knowledge of Part 21, particularly subpart J. The company
is also open to applications from experienced technicians/technical
services engineers from comparable industries looking for their first role
in an aviation design environment.

KNOWELEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• A solid understanding of electrical principals.


• Knowledge of interconnection methods, connector and wire types.
• Experience in the interpretation of aircraft manufacturer’s
maintenance manuals, electrical standards and standard practices.
• Experience in the design or implementation of electrical
modifications.
• Experience in soldering, crimping and other hands-on techniques
associated with the installation of electrical systems.
• Experience with compliance led design.

• Experience with production of block diagrams, schematics drawings, wiring
diagrams, manufacturing, and installation drawings.
• Experience in generating practical work instructions.
• Proficient user of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software.
• Experience in electrical system design within an aviation or comparable
safety critical environment.
• Experience with defining development & demonstrating compliance with
airworthiness or safety/quality requirements.
• Experience with compilation of certification documentation including
Electrical Load Analysis, Equipment Assessments, Test Plans, EWIS analysis
and EZAP analysis.

This role will require candidates to hold a valid driving license and passport
and be able to demonstrate the Right to Work in the UK.

The position is primarily office based at the main site in Derby although a
hybrid working model may be considered after a successful probationary
period. Candidates must also be readily available to travel around the UK
and abroad to conduct aircraft surveys.
