1. The document discusses several ways the author, a public administrator, can help attain the UN's Sustainable Development Goals in their work. This includes upholding the law impartially, reporting crimes like corruption, and donating assistance during disasters.
2. The Philippines addressed the COVID-19 pandemic well according to the author. The government issued health and safety rules while local governments and private sectors also took action to curb the spread of the virus.
3. Reinventing government means redesigning it based on current needs and problems. If reinventing their own organization, the author would make it more flexible, adaptable, and innovative - such as allowing work from home and using technology to better serve stakeholders

1. As a public administrator working in an agency that specializes in managing public
safety, I can help in attainment of SDGs by ensuring that I will not be bias in upholding the law. For instance, if a high-ranking official tries to bribe us to help him dismiss his case, we should not let ourselves be consumed by greed, instead, we should do our work honestly and with integrity. I can also help in attaining SDGs by reporting crimes or illegal acts to law enforcers personally or electronically. For example, I witnessed an act of corruption in a government agency, I can report it thru 8888 or take a photo and email thru the ARTA or the Office of the President. I can also help by extending to victims of disasters like typhoons or earthquakes through donating small amount of money or donating clothes and basic commodities like canned goods, toiletries and etc. 2. In my opinion, the Philippines had addressed the COVID-19 pandemic well. In the spread of the virus, the government had issued rules and regulations like restrictions on travel, mandatory wearing of face masks and face shields, staying inside your home and many more. The government served as a catalyst or model to the LGU’s and public sectors to act the same. LGU’s began to administer checkpoints, Barangay Police started patrolling for violators of protocols and etc. while the private sectors started to send their employees to work from home while others provided subsidy to those who lost their job during pandemic. This proved that Philippines had practiced the principles of good governance. 3. Reinventing Government for me is redesigning it based on the nation needs and problems to be addressed. If I could reinvent the government, I will learn from the past and will not do the same mistakes again that will put the nation in peril. If I will be going to apply the principles of reinventing government in our organization, I will choose to be flexible, adaptable, and innovative. Flexible in a way that we can work anywhere like our home and be able to multitask our jobs. Adaptable in a way that we can perform our duties and obligations even if we are low on resources and deliver an effective and efficient service. Innovative in a way that we can use the current trends in technology like the internet to addressed the needs of our client and stakeholders. 4. a. In my opinion, our property rights are not fully protected. Basing on the issue on the West Philippine Sea, we are being bullied, as stated by the news, by China by not allowing our fishermen to catch fishes on the area and they were also building artificial islands where they build their military bases thus destroying the ecology of the marine life. b. No, our laws are not effectively enforced. Yes, there is rule of law. Yes, laws are enacted for the people. Anti-terror law is intended to prevent, prohibit, and penalize terrorism here in the Philippines. It is intended to prevent, meaning you can be punished if you are attempting to commit terrorism as seen by the Government. Prohibit and penalize meaning you can be restrained and subjected to penalty by the Government if you will be deemed attempting or doing terrorism act. c. No, our bureaucracies are not effective and efficient. Yes, the government is committed to eradicating graft and corruption, agencies like DepEd strengthened their campaign by creating Anti-corruption Committees, there is also the Project Kasangga: Aksyon Laban sa Korupsyon project of Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC). There is also the Anti-Red Tape Act of 2007 or ARTA by the Civil Service Commission and many more.
