Music accompaniment in relation to a particular Philippine festival

In every festival parade, participants play drums or other instruments in rhythmical patterns that
serve as their music during processions and parades. Drums, trumpets, percussions, and native gongs
are some of the musical accompaniments that is used in every festival. Musical accompaniment serves
as tool in order to initiate and maintain enthusiasm during the event.
Music accompaniment used in Philippine festival
1. Drum- is a member of the percussion group of musical instruments. In the Hornbostel-Sachs
classification system, it is a membranophone.
2. Trumpet- is a brass instrument commonly used in classical and jazz ensembles. The trumpet
group ranges from the piccolo trumpet with the highest register in the brass family, to the bass
trumpet, which is pitched one octave below the standard B♭ or C.
3. Gong- is an East and Southeast Asian musical percussion instrument that takes the form of a
flat, circular metal disc which is hit with a mallet. The origin of gongs is probably China's Western
Regions in the sixth century. The term gong originated in the Indonesian island of Java.
