year. 2023 is the Year of the Rabbit in the Chinese calendar, one of

Migration Updates

South Australia
A webinar focusing on South Australia's offshore
stream , will be conducted by SA Business and
Skilled Migration on Wednesday 18th of January

Queensland
FNQ DAMA
The Cairns Chamber of Commerce had submitted a
Deed of Variation Request to the Department of
Home Affairs, seeking important changes to the
FNQ DAMA which have been mentioned below:
English concession for Chefs.
Eight additional occupations (no removals)
including Sand Blaster, Industrial Spray Painter,
Motor Vehicle Parts Interpreter (Automotive
Parts Salesperson), Nanny (‘Governess’),
Podiatrist, Kitchen Steward (‘Kitchen hand’),
Plasterer, and Wall and Floor Tiler;
Reducing the qualification from AQF Cert IV to
AQF Cert III for childcare workers.
Addition of ‘Croydon Shire Council’ and
‘Etheridge Shire Council’ to FNQ DAMA
Designated Area by name.

Australian Capital Territory
The final allocation for the ACTs current program
year is: WHM 8547 temporary relaxation extended
2025 nomination places for the Skilled
nomination (SC 190) visa. The Department has announced that they have
extended the relaxation of condition 8547 until 30
