Methodology for supervision of medical equipment part ( Biomedical Engineer)

1. At the beginning stage/ design stage of the hospital making the meetings with architectures
and project owners to consulting
 That the design of the each room is very important for installation, operation and
setup of medical equipment. Some equipment like (angiography, MRI,CT scan
and etc) require special design and power supplies
 Consulting on the power supply for the capital equipment including backup
power like generator and ups, the size of cables,
 Consulting on the air conditioning because the capital equipment are highly
depends on the room temperature and humidity.
2. On the process of construction on sight supervising once per week on implementation of the
above areas needed to be focused .consulting contractors, making the discussions and
meetings and reporting for the owner of the project.
3. Consulting and making different meetings with the project /hospital owners on the selection
of medical technology/equipment, preparation of the technical specification, making the
assessment of the need of training for the biomedical engineers and end users
4. Supervising the procurement, sight preparation, installation, acceptance tests, trainings, after
sale service contracts, spare parts and the maintenance process of medical equipment once
per week
5. Supervising, Consulting and making meetings with the project owners on the medical
equipment management systems to considering the all running costs (purchasing, training,
spare parts, maintenances and some consumables) for the equipment.
