1.0 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The concept for this business arose during our first online meeting, which occurred during
the period of online learning. Therefore, students can enjoy it during online learning so as to
get rid of drowsiness at a reasonable cost that is affordable to them. Nzcrunchies.ten is a
snack that is easily available in Malaysia because its marketing has spread throughout the
state such as Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Kedah, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Terengganu, Johor,
and many more that can help facilitate our sales. With that, came our business called
‘Nzcrunchies.ten’ which is NZ Crunchies is a brand of products that we want to sell and ‘ten’
means the number of owners of this business which includes a total of 10 members. We are
confident that this product is able to attract the interest of teenagers, especially students.
Therefore, we will strive to promote the good quality of Nzcrunchies.ten products so that we
can achieve maximum customer satisfaction when consuming them.

Our products are based on fried poppy skins and mixed with various flavored powders.
Our products give many opportunities to customers to make a choice by having 9 types of
flavors namely Milky Matcha, Chocolate Supreme, Flaming Salted Egg, Toast, Savoury
Chicken Floss, Seaweed Teriyaki, Korean BBQ, Golden Salted Egg, and Cheese Prime. The
time to fry the poppy skin should be emphasized so that the crispiness of the poppy meets the
customer's expectations and does not overheat. We are sure that the products we produce
are able to provide a unique taste that is mesmerizing and attract customers to get it.
Furthermore, with its easy-to-carry nature, this Nzcrunchies.ten product is ideal to be enjoyed
by all walks of life anytime and anywhere they are. This Nzcrunchies.ten product has also
achieved several achievements, namely HALAL Certificate, MUST Certificate, HACCP
Certificate, and Trademark Certificate. Next, we will get the price of Nzcrunchies.ten poppy
products in wholesale and sales prices using the market price set by the company.

Nzcrunchies.ten is a partnership company that will be registered soon with a capital of


RM1000.00 and wholly owned by 10 owners. The owners are Nurul Atikah binti Azhar, Pang
Yoke Peng, Nur Izzati Binti Md Jais, Siti Balqis Binti Mohamad Mazhar, Nurrin Mastura Binti
Morat, Chua Yi Ling, Mohamad Fahmi Bin Zulkeply, Ana Asyikin Binti Zulkifle, Nurdena Safeah
Binti Azman and Yap Zhu Qi. The main activity of our business is to promote our products to
customers so that customers can enjoy the value found in our products.

For the potential of our company’s future growth, we decided to expand the scope of our
customers beyond the campus of Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). In terms of marketing
planning, Nzcrunchies.ten has used the latest target group methods and market trends to
enable growing demand for its products. Based on the research that has been done by us on

the habits of society in the current era that often get information from social media, our
company uses social media platforms to promote and sell our products, namely Instagram
and Facebook. As such, it makes it easier for customers to get information about our products
through official Instagram and Facebook account pages. After they make a survey, they will
try to start their order and pay for it. Next, if they are far away from us, we will proceed with
the order by packing it well and sending it via a courier company. The package tracking
number will be given to our customers for them to make sure when they receive it. Any
feedback from our customers is welcome as it can help us improve our services in the future.

In terms of operations, the plan shows the work process starting from the ordering process
to the process of receipt of goods by the customer by postal or cash method upon delivery.
We took the product stock from the stockist, Ana Afina binti Md Zain who is in Jitra, Kedah.
Not only that, Nzcrunchies.ten’s operating plan also shows the suppliers used by the
company’s original company. Every product sold has its uniqueness. In terms of the financial
plan Nzcrunchies.ten shows the use of costs and sources of funding in carrying out the
business of Nzcrunchies.ten. An overview of cash flows is also shown to illustrate the cash
flows conducted in this business in good standing to benefit the company or otherwise. So,
this makes it easy for the company to identify the company’s weaknesses while being able to
fix the weaknesses for the good of Nzcrunchies.ten in the future.

2.0 INTRODUCTION OF OUR BUSINESS

The company names of our business are Nzcrunchies.ten and this company is
established on September 2021. The main product sold by Nzcrunchies.ten is a snack make
from popiah. There are many flavour offering by Nzcrunchies.ten such as Flaming Salted Egg,
Seaweed Teriyaki, Roti Bakar, Korea BBQ, Cheese Primo, Golden Salted Egg, Chocolate
Supreme, Savoury Chicken Floss and Milky Matcha. Our company became an agent to sell
the product from retailer to consumer. Our product is suitable for all ages of people especially
children, young people and University students. Our company have a smooth delivery service
for the customer that purchases our product. We have two types of delivery service, the first
one is posting the product for customer that far with our state. Next one we will sell our product
face to face to the customer.

Nzcrunchies.ten has 10 partners and each partner have their soft skill and experience
in marketing, online business and also a relationship with the retailer. Each business partners
have their own description to run the business. They need to manage the operation of the
business running smoothly so they all have the responsibility to help each other part when
facing a problem. Besides that, they also need to pay RM100 for each person to the starting
business money so total up is RM1,000. Every partner will become the capital in
Nzcrunchies.ten.

Table 2 shows nine flavor of products that Nzcrunchies.ten sell are Flaming Salted Egg,
Seaweed Teriyaki, Roti Bakar, Korea BBQ, Cheese Primo, Golden Egg, Chocolate Supreme,
Savoury Chicken Floss and Milky Matcha.

Current Status

We as an agent and dropship decide to sell the products thought online and offline.
Online business we actually use Facebook and Instagram to promote our product. This is
because Facebook and Instagram has become their daily use apps so we can find our
customer easily and faster. Online business is very easy to build up especially for a new
business that unknow in the market.

Online business is very easy to manage for a person that did not have experience or
knowledge at doing business. For someone who want to build up their business online, they
just need a small capital, laptop and phone. On this Covid-19 pandemic, many physical stores
change their marketing strategies to online because they need to make sure their business
still operation otherwise their business will become bankrupt. Consumer buying behavior also
changes during the pandemic, customer more famous to buy thing online than the physical
stores. Besides that, online business is cheaper than the stores and you can choose the
stokers you like. Now the online delivery in Malaysia is smooth and faster maybe now a week
or five days your parcel will arrive to your hand. So, our business partners agree to sell our
product through online.

3.0 MARKET PLANNING

3.1 TARGET MARKET SELECTION

Target market selection is used to obtain information about the types of snacks that
everyone prefers. The food industry issued a statement that fried poppies innovated with
various flavours are increasingly in high demand among the multi-racial society. Our business
is focused on producing quality products that will influence consumers to buy them. Next, the
main target of consumers who will buy our products are all types of ages regardless of children
or adults. We also want to market our products throughout peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and
Sarawak.

3.2 TARGET MARKET SIZE AND TREND

The market size is made up of the total number of potential buyers of a product or
service within a given market, and the total revenue that these sales may generate. There are
several factors that are taken into account in the target market that is adapted to age,
character, education level, and so on. So, the target market can be concluded as an effort to
target the community to be the target of selling products or services in accordance with the
nature of the community itself, their age and character after observing the needs and desires
of the community.

Market trends is the perceived direction of price movements over a particular period.
Market trends apply to all assets and all markets where there’s movement on prices or
volumes bought and sold. Our business uses social media such as Facebook, Website,
Instagram, and WhatsApp to promote our product NZ Crunchies. By using all these
applications, we can attract customers to buy our products and all the good feedback can also
be received by us from customers. So, all these applications make it easy for us to manage
and run the business well.

3.3 SALES PROMOTION MIX AND STRATEGIES

3.3.1 PROMOTION

The products we market involve certain parties such as suppliers and customers
consisting of children, teenagers and adults. We procure NZ Crunchies products from NZ
Crunchies suppliers by ordering online and shipping to our address. Once our business
products arrive, we will be promoting NZ Crunchies products on social media. Each member
of our business group will promote the product to their friends as well as relatives. By
conducting promotional activities of our business products, we are able to increase the
demand for NZ Crunchies from customers. The objectives of the promotion are:

• Attract customers to buy our products and maintain their loyalty to our products.
• Introduce the existence of brands of our products that have been marketed in the
Malaysian market.
• Give gifts to customers who always buy and support our products.

Among the main objectives of selling NZ Crunchies products is as a snack or side dish.
Our business products can be eaten at leisure such as while watching television, watching
matches in stadiums, surfing the internet, and are suitable to be eaten during certain festivals
or occasions. Based on NZ Crunchies products, we have also run several advertising methods
to introduce our products, including:

1. Direct Selling Method:

Through the direct sales method, we sell our products by sending our products directly to the
hands of customers whether they are at home or in other areas near us.

2. Indirect Selling Method:

Through indirect sales methods, we use social media such as Facebook, Website, Instagram,
and WhatsApp to advertise our products and customers can purchase our products through
the links provided in each of the applications. Clearly, using indirect sales methods can make
it easier for customers to buy our products through the website. We also put all the detailed
information about our products on social media. So, customers will find detailed information
about the types of products and flavors sold by our business. We will also be easy to
communicate with customers if they want to buy our products or want to give any feedback
about our products using this method.

several types of relations such as media relations. Media relations are one of the relationships
that provide a place for us to sell and introduce our products. So, through the media we can
control our business online by providing our product information in detail in the media. With
these resources, all our sales products are promoted on social media such as Facebook,
Website, Instagram, and WhatsApp to influence customers to buy them.

Public relations through marketing can also create a good communication between

Customers will be drawn to our goods since it has a fair pricing and high-quality
products. Customers will not hesitate to purchase our items because the pricing is quite low,
at only RM10.00 for 220g. The pricing is also suitable for people of all ages, from children to
adults.

3.5 PRODUCT STRATEGY

• Labelling
This product has a complete labelling, which includes everything such as brand and
product identity, legal requirements, descriptions, and other information. Furthermore,
the label's color and image are more appealing and inviting. This company's goal in
creating beautiful labelling is to entice buyers to purchase this product.
• Packaging
The packaging for this product is more appealing and secure. The firm is concerned
about product safety, particularly for online buyers who require parcel delivery. The
product will be carefully packaged in bubble wrap so that the buyer receives it in good
condition.

4.1.1 Mission

Our business has mission statements that describe the goal of our business and serve
as the standard against which we measure our actions and decisions. The first mission for our
business is to prepare clean and natural snack products that are served according to the
needs of customers. Our business’s second mission is to ensure that our customer’s
continuous satisfaction is consistent with the snack production that we have been provided to
our customers.

4.1.2 Vision

Our business has vision statements that serve as a framework for our Roadmap and
guide our business toward long-term sustainability and high-quality growth. The first vision of
our business is to become a sustainable and competitive snack products supply business that
can provide the best service to satisfy our customer's needs. The second vision of our
business is to have operational branches all around Malaysia.

An operational plan is a strategic document that lays out all of the planning that goes
into the day-to-day operations and processes that make a business effective. It includes all of
the tasks that must be completed by several teams or departments, such as recruitment,
marketing, and finance, for the company's goals and objectives to be fulfilled. So, for our
business operations planning, this is where we will share more information about our products,

5.2 PROCESS OF OPERATION

5.2.1 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

As an agent of NZ Crunchies, our group conducted business. The snack we sell is


made from poppy skin and comes in a variety of flavors. Wheat flour, filtered water, vegetable
oil, cheese powder, chili, sugar, salt, and permitted food coloring are among the ingredients
in this product. This product comes in a jar with a weight of 220g. The jar's container can
protect the food's quality from being harmed. People preferred this snack because of its easy-
to-carry packaging and ability to be enjoyed anytime. This product is also easy to keep. This
snack also has a wide variety of flavors. Cheese Primo, Golden Salted Egg, Chocolate
Supreme are famous among customers. The flavors offered by this product will undoubtedly
attract customers to purchase it while also suiting to their tastes.

5.2.2 PRODUCT APPLICATION

This snack made from poppy skin is highly trendy nowadays. However, as a result of
the promotion, this NZ Crunchies branded snack has attracted the attention of many
individuals. Customers, especially children, and teenagers enjoy our products since they are
tasty and varied. Customers do not need to fry or heat this snack to get more savory taste.
Customers can eat this product as a snack while watching Television, studying, or as a light
meal in the afternoon. Due to their deliciousness and economical price, NZ Crunchies can
also be used as gifts for contacts. Moreover, during festival seasons such as Hari Raya Aidilfitri
and Deepavali, this product can be served as a snack.

5.2.3 PRODUCT ADVANTAGES

NZ Crunchies, our product, has several advantages. Customers' favorite flavors are
represented by the variety of flavors available. Those who prefer the taste of cheese, for
example, would enjoy NZ Crunchies Cheese Primo. This product's ingredients are likewise of
high quality and suitable for people of all ages, including children. Even though chile is the
main ingredient, the taste will not be overly spicy. Customers can experience limited edition
tastes such as Rendang Licious, a rendang flavor that is sure to satisfy the tastes of rendang
lovers, during the festival season, especially Hari Raya Aidilfitri. NZ Crunchies' low pricing is
fully accessible to diverse individuals of life.

According to the operation flowchart above, firstly each member will pay RM 100 to
Mohamad Fahmi, who will act as an agent for NZ Crunchies, and the paid capital will be
processed to the stockist of NZ Crunchies. Following that, our product will be promoted on a
social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. The customer will place their order
through one of our social media sites, and we will discuss the delivery date with our customer
as well as gather their details for delivery purposes. Payment will be made later by the
customer, either by online banking or cash. Following that, we will collect the product based
on the customer's order and inspect it for quality. After inspecting the items, we will bubble
wrap them and deliver them according to the customer's preferred pickup process. Direct
delivery is also made and no additional charges are imposed to further boost business
profitability.After that, all customer feedback is recorded and used as a material to further
promote the product. Finally, all money in and out transactions are recorded as evidence of
business transactions.

Crunchies also has launched two new flavours of snacks, which are NZ Crunchies Tom Yum
Seafood and NZ Crunchies “Nasi Lemak dan Sambal Ikan Bilis”. We sell snacks NZ Crunchies
in bottle edition only. Our snacks NZ Crunchies are also suitable for everyone, especially for
the young people and children. After that, customers can buy our products anytime because
our snacks are always ready stock and available all the time. Customers can also order our
products through our social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. We will
ensure that the products reach the hand of our customers in good condition and not broken.
As for the price of our snacks, we will sell them at a fair price and not expensive which allows
the customers to purchase the snacks. Lastly, because of our products are at a fair price and
tasty, so this will attract our customers to repurchase again our snacks NZ Crunchies and as
the first choice for the customers.
