ASSIGNMENT QUESTION

Observation is the intentional, systematic act of looking at the behaviour of a child or


children in a particular setting or situation (Morrison, 2011). The purpose of this assignment
is to get the learners to conduct child’assessment through observation.

In order to achieve this purpose, this assignment contains two parts as follows:

Part 1 (20 marks)


For this part, you are required to watch the video in the given link below. The video shows
three children of ages between 4 to 5 years old playing at the sensory table.

Observe each child in this video and gather information using anecdotal record. Identify
each child’s interest and unique skills and record what you see. Be sure you prepare one
record per child and observe what they actually do in the activity.
 
Part 2 (40 marks)
This part requires you to interpret the data you have collected. Reflect your observation for
each child and determine what they know and able to do and what are their interest. Write
a report and discuss your findings in detail with relevant support. Provide conclusion and
suggest action to be taken in response to the findings.

Submit both parts in one file.

SOALAN TUGASAN

Pemerhatian merupakan tindakan melihat perlakuan kanak-kanak dalam seting atau situasi
tertentu yang dibuat secara sistematik dan bertujuan (Morrison, 2011). Tujuan tugasan ini
adalah untuk membolehkan pelajar melakukan pentaksiran kanak-kanak melalui
pemerhatian.

Bagi mencapai tujuan tugasan ini, tugasan ini dibahagikan kepada dua bahagian seperti
berikut.

Bahagian 1 (20 markah)


Bagi bahagian ini, anda dikehendaki memerhati video dalam link yang diberikan di bawah.
Video ini menunjukkan tiga kanak-kanak berusia antara 4 hingga 5 tahun sedang bermain di
meja sensori.

Perhatikan setiap kanak-kanak di dalam video ini dan kumpulkan maklumat menggunakan
rekod anekdot. Kenal pasti minat kanak-kanak dan kemahiran unik yang ada pada setiap
kanak-kanak. Pastikan anda menyediakan satu rekod untuk setiap kanak-kanak dan
perhatikan apa yang sebenarnya mereka lakukan dalam aktiviti ini.

Bahagian 2 (40 markah)


Bahagian ini memerlukan anda menginterpretasikan data yang telah anda kumpulkan.
Lakukan refleksi terhadap pemerhatian pada setiap kanak-kanak dan tentukan apa yang
mereka ketahui dan boleh lakukan, dan juga minat mereka. Tuliskan laporan dan
bincangkan dapatan anda dengan terperinci dengan sokongan yang relevan. Berikan
kesimpulan dan cadangkan tindakan yang perlu dilakukan berdasarkan dapatan anda.

Serahkan kedua-dua bahagian dalam satu fail.
