I. RATIONALE:
The activity is a two-day research proposal defense. This will be primarily catered for Practical
Research 2 senior high school students of Talisay City National High School. The objective of this
activity is to be able to give an overview of the process of research to the students and immerse
them to a true research environment. Importantly this will reinforce student-researchers to produce
a quality and valid research.
The research subject teachers decided to tap inside and outside research evaluation panelists as
the research teachers believe that they have more adequate and elaborate experience in research.
The results of this research evaluation will serve as part of the performance task of the learners. The
approved manuscripts will be used for the completion of the research on the next semester under
the subject

Dear Sir:

The practical research 2 subject teachers would like to ask permission from your good
office to allow us to conduct our school – based research proposal defense on January 19 to 20
of this academic year at Talisay City National High School – Mini Hotel from 6:00 A.M to 1:30
P.M. in the afternoon. This activity will involve grade 12 students of ABM A, ABM B, ABM C,
HUMSS A, STEM A, STEM B, CSS A, CSS B, CSS C and EIM. The program proper was made not to
affect their other subject classes schedule.

The activity was cooperatively organized by the practical research 2 teachers and
representatives of each class mentioned above. Classes were assigned to different committees
as the organizers hoped for the success of the said event. This research proposal oral defense
will serve as their culminating activity and their performance task in the second quarter as part
of the competencies in the subject, Practical Research 2.
