Duration Overview
1 hour This EMC Education Services course provides an overview of NetWorker
terminology, features, architecture, theory of operations, and management. This
includes NetWorker components, and backup and recovery functions. This
course supports the EMC Proven Professional certification program

Audience
This course is intended for anyone who desires an overview of the EMC
NetWorker backup and recovery solution, its features and functionality.

Prerequisite Knowledge/Skills
To understand the content and successfully complete this course, a student
should have knowledge and skills associated with the following:
 Backup and recovery concepts and principles
 IT Storage management concepts

Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, participants should be able to:
 Describe the EMC NetWorker solution and advantages
 Describe NetWorker hosts and their roles
 Describe the use of NetWorker control data and administrative interfaces
 Describe NetWorker device types and devices
 Describe NetWorker backup process, types, and levels
 Describe NetWorker recovery process and recovery types
