Course Objectives: To initiate the students into emerging modes of technology and mass media, through the use of literary techniques. It aims to connect
various applications of the Mass media with language and modes of literary representations like Content Writing, Blogging and other modes of literary
representations through technology.

Module III – Language, Graphics and its interpretation 30

2. The performance of Identity and the construction of a community in social media
3. Language politics and ideologies in mass and social media – Representation of indigenous and minority

Course Learning Outcomes:


On completion of this course – On completion of the course, students will be enabled on the following points:
1. Critical thinking on new methods of digital representations of literature
2. Effective applications of language and literature in contemporary forms of digital mass media
3. Assimilating newer forms of discourse on emerging trends of digital mass media through representations of literature.
4. Develop relevant content for social media.

Pedagogy for Course Delivery:


• The course will be primarily taught in lecture mode in which the basic concepts will be explained.
• While explaining the terms the teacher will also give relevant examples that will make the concepts very clear.
• Guidance will be given to the students to ask questions, explore options and encourage them to develop criteria to make informed choices.
• Professional skill development Activities will be given to develop students’ capacity to analyse a language and function in an autonomous fashion
where the teacher is available as a resource person.
