NARRATIVE REPORT ON WHLP and ILMP

School Year 2020 - 2021

Our educational system for School Year 2020-2021 has changed due to
the COVID-19 pandemic. The Department of Education came up with different
distance learning modalities to cater to the educational needs of the students
without compromising the learners and teachers’ health and safety.
Based on the survey on learners, parents and teachers, the school
decided to use the printed modular learning because most of our students do
not have gadgets and internet connectivity at home. Along with the Self-
Learning Modules (SLMs), a Weekly Home Learning Plan (WHLP) was provided
to learners to serve as their guide in answering the learning activities of the
SLMs.
Learners who lagged behind as shown by the results of their formative
and summative assessments were given interventions using the Individual
Learning Monitoring Plan" (ILMP) as tool for teachers to track the progress of
the learners’ performance. However, due to time constraint caused by the
printing of modules, consistent monitoring of the learners’ progress was not
fully implemented.
With the experience and lessons gained from last school year’s,
preparation and utilization of WHLP and ILMP for this school year will be given
emphasis as a means of feedback to learners’ progress especially those who are
not able to catch up with other learners. Muchmore, teachers will have a
constant communication with the parents/guardians and report to them the
progress of their students and encourage them to strengthen their involvement
in guiding and supervising the learning of their children at home. With these,
we are ready to face School Year 2021-2022.
