Language programs and policies are necessary in multilingual societies, it
is because to make sure to have easiest access of those in smaller number of populations to the high forms of national standard of languages and the ability to read and write. While giving assistance to the intergenerational preservation of minority languages, which both includes indigenous and immigrant languages.

According to my research from the definition.com, it is said that
language program and policies is what a government does inside a certain country either officially through legislation, court decisions or policy to determine how language are used, cultivate language skills is needed to meet national priorities or to establish the night of individuals or groups to use and maintain languages. As what I have understood, language policies are the rules or a guide of how we use our good skills in language to a rightful way to establish good language’s existent.
3. How the language policy affect multilingualism?

According to the Language policy for multilingualism, “ The policy of
promotion of multilingualism aims at measures that eliminate, or at least reduce, the factors that leads to language loss. It encourage the use of many languages in the private domain. It ensure that the use of many languages in the public domain is non- discriminatory”. As I have read and realized the text, I understand that the language policies has brought big affect to multilingualism because it reduce, maintain and observe how languages is use and when to be used that varies in a specific areas, either in private domain or public domain.
