By the end of this field experience, the student’s participation in the field experience and his/her assignments should provide evidence of an emerging
understanding of the culture of schools and a growing ability to observe, describe and document with insight and care. The student’s Field Experience
Dossier and daily and weekly assignments should demonstrate a deepening ability to generate insight from data gathering and provide evidence of her/his
own ability to observe and reflect on experience and observations.

Communicated effectively, professionally and respectfully with school staff, fellow student teachers, instructors,
students in schools, etc. All matters related to professionalism as stated in the Student Field Experience Handbook
and EDUC 440 Course Outline including, but not limited to: professional communication, dress code, appropriate Ö

“LIFE IN SCHOOLS” PHOTO ESSAY CREDIT NO CREDIT


Essay takes up meaningful discussion of experiences in schools and draws on these to derive conclusions about
life in schools. It incorporates ideas and understandings from the topics presented in EDUC 430 and 440 to date,
drawing extensively from the Field Experience Dossier and from readings and discussions. Reflections
demonstrate personal growth and understandings. Text is clear, concise, appropriate and largely free of Ö
grammatical errors. Images and text in the form of quotes are interwoven to create a visual examination that is
thought-provoking and challenges the reader to delve more deeply into the nature of the essential question. APA
errors are minimal.
