Activity / Strategy Activity No. 1: The teacher will show a picture and the students will tell whether the following
pictures shown is a dessert or not.

Analysis Answer the following questions:


1. Why is dessert important?
2. How to make dessert in your own way?
3. Can you name common Filipino dessert that are famous as a dessert?
Abstraction Comprehensive review on the following:

 The history of dessert


 Dessert during the middle ages
 Definition of dessert
 The 12-course meal
 The 6-course meal
 The Classification of dessert
 The types of ice cream and sherbet
 Discussion on sherbet and ice cream
 Discussion on Fruit Dessert
 Discussion on Mousse
 Discussion on Bread and Pastry
Application Group Activity 1: The teacher will show a recipe of a sherbet and ice cream, and Fruit Dessert. This
is to be demonstrated after the discussion. Students will choose whether they would prepare Fruit
Dessert or Sherbet and ice cream. The recipe is given and the costing is also given.

 Procedures
 Mise en Place

This is to be performed on the next day so that students can prepare.

NOTE: Students must wear Personal Protective Equipment such as face mask, apron and utensils. to
avoid cross-contamination of bacteria and for the safety of everybody. Students must wear their
facemask.
Assessment Activity No. 2: The teacher will give the Standardized Recipe Cost sheet. This is to be filled-out by
the students. This is to be done within 30 minutes.
Assignment Students must prepare all the ingredients for the upcoming activity.
Wrap –Up/ The students will pass their Standardized Recipe
