❑ 6th of January

First Poya day of the year. All the students and


teachers must come to Moratumulla temple by 9 AM.
Boys should wear 'national attire' and girls should
wear 'lama sariya’.
Parents may wear an appropriate attire.

❑ 9th of January
School ‘Open Day’ and welcoming of new Grade 1 students
Any parent may visit the college and get a glimpse of
how things are being done at Golden Bridge.

❑ 16th of January
College holiday for Thai Pongal Festival.

❑ 17th of January
Celebrating the Thai Pongal festival at the college.
Teachers and students need to come in traditional Tamil
wear and students should be demonstrated festival values
and cultural importance.

❑ 24th of January - “The College Day”


Golden Bridge will be completing 2 years in the
education sector. The blessing of premises and cutting a
cake in a ceremonial way along with speeches from the
primary section and a dance act from the preschool
infant section.
Breakfast will be provided to all the students by the
college.
❑ 3rd of February
A college holiday for Independence Day.

❑ 6th of February
Celebrating National Day and commemorating national
heroes. All the students must come in national attire and
the day will be allocated to raise awareness of how Sri
Lanka gained independence from Britain.
Primary students will deliver speeches on our national
heroes.

❑ 14th of February
“Valentine’s Day”
Making cards for parents to express love towards
them. Students may come in full red attire.

❑ 17th of February
A college holiday for Mahashivratri.

❑ 6th of March
Declared a special holiday by the college.
❑First Term Examination
20th , 21st , 22nd , and 23rd
❑ 24th of March
The end of the first term of the
academic year 2023.

❑ 23rd of April
“Celebration of Sinhala and Tamil New Year Day.”
- The event will be held at Tiron's Stadium, Katubedda.
- There will be games, fun activities, music, food stalls
and etc.
- The full event plan will be published in the near future.

The college will be reopened for the


second term of the academic year 2023
on the 2nd of May.
