Dear President Marcos Jr:

Greetings! We, the Local Government Unit, and the community of the municipality of Lala
hope that you are having a day full of blessings.
I am writing this letter to inform you, as a significant part of the lives of the Filipinos, about
our situation in. is the only 1st class municipality in the province of Lanao del Norte with fast
rising economy and fast-growing population of more than 70,000 people. These people
must be delivered with basic services relative to the protection of life and property which
has always been the thrust and priority of the Local Government Unit of , Lanao del Norte.
The situation is that based on the fire truck to population ratio: 1 fire truck for every 28,000
persons, and the only serviceable fire truck of the Bureau of Fire Protection in our
municipality could not adequately serve or respond the whole populace in case there were
large fires, emergencies and other calamities which might occur in the municipality as well
as in the neighboring municipalities. Only one (1) out of the two (2) fire trucks can be used
during emergencies which was the very old one (1980) because the newly acquired fire
truck is unserviceable since 2018 to present due to broken engine. Thus, our municipality is
presently using the forty-two (42) year old fire truck which has also undergone its share of
major body and engine repairs caused by progressive damage due to wear and tear and
aging.
In light of this, we are knocking your kind heart and earnestly requests from His Excellency’s
humble office to provide two (2) units fire truck as a primordial importance of the LGU in
order to effectively respond to various calamities and emergencies and also for the efficient
delivery of public service to the people in the municipality of .
