IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS - LEVEL 1 EXAM

INDIA'S only combined Olympiad of Science, Math & Astronomy

IOSA Olympiad - Level 1 Exam

1) IOSA Olympiad Level 1 Exam will begin in last week of December 2022 till 2nd Week of
Jan 2023. The exact date will be decided by the participants from the exam date slot
provided by the IOSA Admin.

2) The Exam date selection process begins in the month of Nov 2022.

3) Level 1 exam contains 60 MCQ type questions of 5 marks each i.e. total of 300 marks
and the Duration of Test is 60 mins. The negative marking of 2 marks are applicable on
wrong answers for every Grade/Class students.

4) IOSA Level 1 exam is the elimination round and only selected students will be
qualified for Level 2 Exam. The criteria for Qualification are as follows:

Grade/Class 1st - 4th 300 200

Grade/Class 5th - 8th 300 220

Grade/Class 9th - 12th 300 240

NOTE:
1. Participants who achieve qualifying marks or higher will be qualified for the
Level 2 exam of the IOSA Olympiad 2022-23.
2. Participants who do not achieve the qualifying marks will receive a E -
participation certificate within 15-20 days of the results being announced.

IOSA Olympiad - Level 2 Exam

1) IOSA Olympiad Level 2 Exam will begin in last week of January 2023 till 2nd Week of
Feb 2023. The exact date will be decided by the participants from the exam date slot
provided by the IOSA Admin.

2) Participants who achieve qualifying marks or higher will be qualified for the Level 2
exam of the IOSA Olympiad 2022-23.

3) Level 2 exam contains 30 MCQ type questions of 5 marks each i.e. total of 150 marks
and the Duration of Test is 20 mins. The negative marking of 2.5 marks are applicable on
wrong answers for every Grade/Class students.

4) IOSA Level 2 exam have some tricky questions in Current Affairs (related to Science,
Math, Astronomy only), reasoning & riddles etc.

5) In case of a tie, the students who did the test in less time will be preferred.

6) The result of IOSA Olympiad Level 2 will be announced on 31st March 2023.

7) The awards like Medals, Shield, E-Certificates etc. will be delivered/dispatched in the
month of APRIL 2023.

AWARDS CRITERIA/RANK CALCULATION

INDIA'S only combined Olympiad of Science, Math & Astronomy

The rank in the IOSA Olympiad 2022-23 will be generated by combining the
marks achieved in both the level i.e. Level 1 & Level 2 Exam.

Final Marks: Marks in Level 1 + Marks in Level 2

Final Percentage & Rank will be calculated through Final Marks only.

For E.g. If a participant Rahul (Grade 4) got 230/300 marks in Phase 1 exam. As per criteria,
he qualifies for Level 2 exam and got 120/150 marks in Phase 2 exam. Total marks he
achieved is:

230 (level 1) + 120 (level 2) = 350 (Final marks) out of 450(Total marks)

Total Percentage - (Final marks / Total marks) x 100

(350/450)x100 = 77.78%

i.e. Rahul get 77.78 % in the IOSA Olympiad 2022-23.

Now, The awards & Rank will be based on this Percentage achieved.

Awards & Certificates

Winner Shield - Certificate of Distinction:

The winner shield - Certificate of Distinction will be awarded to Topper, 1st
Runner up, 2nd Runner up from every grade/Class.

Gold Medals: Rank 1 - Rank 10 will be awarded Gold Medals.

Silver Medals: Rank 11 - Rank 20 will be awarded Silver Medals.

Bronze Medals: Rank 21 - Rank 30 will be awarded Bronze Medals.

Certificate of Achievement: All candidate who qualifies for Level 2 Exam

will be awarded E- Achievement Certificate.

Certificate of Participation: All candidate who participated in the IOSA

Olympiad 2022-23 will received the E -Participation certificates.
