Instructions for Position Paper

(Blended and FOL Students)

This table presents the step by step procedure in accomplishing your critique paper. Put
a check (✓) on items that you have already finished. If there are any questions, reach
me via messenger during school hours.

1. ROLES. Assign roles for each of the member of the group.
Each member would have to be accountable for different
aspects of the paper such as language, content, format, and
citations.

2. READ. Read relevant sources on you are the issue assigned

to your group. Doing so will definitely make writing about that
issue a lot easier.

3. OUTLINE. Accomplish the outline in the next file. This outline

will be your guide as you write your own critique paper.
Format: Arial 12, single spaced, default margins
Deadline: October 7, 2022 @ 11:59pm

4. SUBMISSION OF OUTLINE. Submit the outline in the Google

drive folder “Position Paper Outlines”.
File name: Group # - Position Paper Outline
Example: Group 3 – Position Paper Outline
Deadline: October 7, 2022 @ 11:59pm

5. POSITION PAPER. After working on the outline, compose an

800 to 1200-word position paper with at least 10 citations in
APA 7th format. (Citations should not only be limited to blog
articles, or online encyclopedias. Additional points will be given
for citations from other references such as books, journal
articles, research articles etc.)

6. SUBMISSION OF POSITION PAPER. Submit the outline in

English for Academic and Professional Purposes

7. PEER EVALUATION. Each member would need to submit to

their focal person an evaluation for each of the members saved
in a word document. Moreover, the focal person needs to
compile the said evaluation and submit it to me via email
(ms.mjestacio@gmail.com).
Criteria:
 50 pts – Intellectual Contribution
 50 pts – Cooperation
Deadline: October 13, 2022 @ 11:59pm

Criteria for Position Paper:

Content – 50 – to be recorded as Summative Test
Mechanics – 20
Organization – 20 to be recorded as PETA 2 – Position Paper
Grammar – 10
Total = 100

Evaluation for outline:

Introduction = 5pts.
Body (10pts per major claim x 3) = 30pts.
Conclusion = 15pts.
Total = 50pts. (to be recorded as PETA 1 – Position Paper Outline)

Submission Dates:
