I. VIEWPOINT

Climate change has always happened on Earth, which is clearly seen in the
geological record; it is the rapid rate and the magnitude of climate change occurring
now that is of great concern worldwide. Greenhouse gases in the atmosphere absorb
heat radiation. But how does this occur on our planet? Well, climate change refers to
long-term shifts in temperatures and
weather patterns.
These shifts may be natural,
such as through variations in the solar
cycle. But since the 1800s, human activities
have been the main driver of climate
change, primarily due to burning fossil fuels
like coal, oil and gas. But how can we
prevent it from getting worse?
Climate change is a threat to all
living things not just humans but even the
animals, plants and every living thing that there is in the Earth. There’re so many ways
that we can do stop it from getting worse and you can even do it without realizing that
you are helping the Earth from getting it worse.
The latest climate change that reported was in 26 of October 2022, where a
report from UN Climate Change shows countries are bending the curve of global
greenhouse gas emissions downward but underlines that these efforts remain
insufficient to limit global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees Celsius by the end of the
century. The United Nation (UN) get together to prevent the climate change from getting
worse that everyone in the world should participate.
The main threats of climate
change, stemming from the rising
temperature of Earth’s atmosphere include
rising sea levels, ecosystem collapse and
more frequent and severe weather. Rising
temperatures from human-caused
greenhouse gas emissions affects planet-
wide systems in various ways. More
frequent and intense drought, storms, heat
waves, rising sea levels, melting glaciers
and warming oceans can directly harm
animals, destroy the places they live, and wreak havoc on people’s livelihoods and
communities. As climate change worsens, dangerous weather events are becoming
more frequent or severe.
II. TIME CONTEXT

I think we can help to decrease the sudden climate change happening by

reducing the greenhouse that we all put up when we plant like vegetables and fruits to
make it grow faster but that doesn’t mean that it really helps the Earth to be a better
place for us it may seems that it really helps us but it really doesn’t it just add more
problem to our society and instead of
becoming more dependent, we need to reduce
our dependence on fossil fuels and electricity
right away. Opt for eco-friendly options like
solar energy and win power. Take up the habit
of recycling and reusing. Do not throw away
things instead learn to reuse them properly.
Climate change affects the social and
environmental determinants of health – clean
air, safe drinking water, sufficient food and
secure shelter. Between 2030 and 2050,
climate change is expected to cause
approximately 250 000 additional deaths per
year, from malnutrition, malaria, diarrhoea and
heat stress and if we didn’t reduce doing something that makes it more active then our
Earth will be inhabitable anymore. More frequent and intense drought, storms, heat
waves, rising sea levels, melting glaciers and warming oceans can directly harm
animals, destroy the places they live, and wreak havoc on people’s livelihoods and
communities. In November 2022, a
new crop of cities and local
governments were named to the CDP A
List, joining the vanguard of those
leading environmental action. I spoke
with two municipalities – from the west
coast of Canada to the southeastern
edge of the U.S. – that disclosed for
the first time in 2022 and immediately
earned an “A,” to understand how
they’re grappling with mirroring
environmental challenges.
And as you can see in the
picture the temperature in North
America is getting hotter and hotter
than before maybe it is cause by too much buildings and there is no more trees that the
energy from the sun can get thorough as we know that North and South America has
the most population in the world.
III. DEFINITION OF THE PROBLEM

Everyone can help limit climate change. From the way we travel, to the electricity we
use and the food we eat, we can make a difference. Start with these seven (7) actions
to help tackle the climate crisis.
(1) Save energy at home. Much of
our electricity and heat is powered by
coal, oil and gas. Use less energy by
lowering your heating and cooling,
switching to LED light bulbs and energy-
efficient electric appliances, washing your
laundry with cold water or hanging things to
dry instead of using a dryer. (2) Walk,
cycle or take public transport. The world’s
roads are clogged with vehicles, most of
them burning diesel or petrol. Walking or
riding a bike instead of driving will reduce
greenhouse gas emissions – and help
your health and fitness. For longer
distances, consider taking a train or bus.
And carpool whenever possible. (3) Eat more vegetables. Eating more vegetables,
fruits, whole grains, legumes, nuts and seeds, and less meat and dairy, can significantly
lower your environmental impact. Producing plant-based foods generally results in
fewer greenhouse gas emissions and requires less energy, land and water. (4)
Consider your travel, aeroplanes burn large amounts
of fossil fuels, producing significant greenhouse gas
emissions. That makes taking fewer flights one of the
fastest ways to reduce your environmental impact.
When you can, meet virtually, take a train or skip that
long-distance trip altogether. Throw away less food,
when you throw food away, you're also wasting the
resources and energy that were used to grow,
produce, package and transport it. And when food
rots in a landfill, it produces methane, a powerful
greenhouse gas. So, use what you buy and compost
any leftovers. (5) Reduce, reuse, repair & recycle,
electronics, clothes and other items we buy cause carbon emissions at each point in
production, from the extraction of raw materials to manufacturing and transporting
goods to market. To protect our climate, buy fewer things, shop second-hand, repair
what you can and recycle. (6) Change your home's source of energy, ask your utility
company if your home energy comes from oil, coal or gas. If possible, see if you can
switch to renewable sources such as wind or solar. Or install solar panels on your roof
to generate energy for your home. (7) Switch to an electric vehicle, if you plan to buy a
car, consider going electric, with more and cheaper models coming on the market. Even
if they still run on electricity produced from fossil fuels, electric cars help reduce air
pollution and cause significantly fewer greenhouse gas emissions than petrol or diesel-
powered vehicles.
But the most important thing to do is we need to cut man-made greenhouse gas
emissions drastically, phase out fossil fuels and move to renewable energy. We need to
use less energy and be more efficient in the energy that we do use, and we need to
tackle deforestation and eat less meat.

IV. OBJECTIVES

 It can reduce the climate change from getting worse and it can help the
Earth to be a better place

V. AREAS OF CONSIDERATION

 These phenomena include the increased temperature trends described by

global warming, but also encompass changes such as sea-level rise; ice
mass loss in Greenland, Antarctica, the Arctic and mountain glaciers
worldwide; shifts in flower/plant blooming; and extreme weather events.”
 Here is a brief introduction to climate change and four of its key facets:
weather, climate, the greenhouse effect, and global warming. At the end,
you'll have a better understanding of how these four areas interact with
one another and relate to the critical topic of climate change.

VI. ALTERNATIVE COURSE OF ACTION

 Transitioning to energy sources that do not emit greenhouse gases,

such as solar, wind, biofuels, and nuclear, can slow the pace of climate
change, though these energy sources face hurdles ranging from
manufacturing capacity to debates about where to install some
facilities.

 There are plenty of other ways to tackle climate change: Buy and grow
local food, use renewable energy and energy-efficient appliances,
insulate your home, nurture soils and grasslands, run for office, explore
high- and low-tech ways to capture greenhouse gases, support
research and organizations that can mobilize more

VII. RECOMMENDATIONS

 Climate Mitigation: Moving Toward a Net Zero Carbon Economy.

 Advance market-based solutions to reduce emissions.
 Invest in climate-smart infrastructure and clean energy.
 Enhance carbon removal and sequestration.
 Meet climate goals with administrative and congressional actions.

VIII. ACTION PLANS

 Climate action plans generally include greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions

reduction targets and detail actions the state can take to help meet those goals.
The plans may also include additional components such as resilience strategies,
clean energy targets, and economic and social goals.
 Keep fossil fuels in the ground.
 Invest in renewable energy.
 Switch to sustainable transport.
 Help us keep our homes cozy.
 Improve farming and encourage vegan diets.
 Restore nature to absorb more carbon.
 Protect forests like the Amazon.
 Protect the oceans.
