Knowledge: define Boyles and Charle’s law

Skills: Describe the relationship between temperature, T, and the volume, V, of its
container with a constant amount of gas and pressure

Attitude: Learner actively responds and participates

Values: relate to real life situations

Procedures

Introductory The class will start with daily classroom routines ( prayer, attendance check and energizer )

Activity The teacher will use a perfume and spread the perfume all over the classroom and the ff
questions :

What have you observed as I spread the perfume inside the class?
Did everybody smell the perfume at the same time? Why?
When someone who has put on perfume enters a room, the fragrance is soon smelled in
other parts of the room. Why ?

The teacher will lead the discussion about Gas Laws and the behavior of gases.

DAILY LESSON PLAN

Abstraction The teacher will show a demonstration of Charle’s law to the class and ask the students to
observe carefully
The teacher will show to the class a glass with a balloon and the filled with hot water

After the demonstration ,she will ask the following questions

 What have you observe with the demonstration ?
 What happened to the balloon as the glass was filled up by hot water ?
The teacher will the discuss that Charle’s law states that as the temperature increases the
volume also increases and as the temperature decreases the volume also decreases.

Application A hot air balloon contains a propane burner onboard to heat the air inside the balloon. What
happens to the volume of the balloon as the air is heated?

 When a scuba diver exhales, water bubbles released grow larger as it reaches the
surface
 The football which is inflated inside, shrinks when taken outdoors during winter.
  It is important to check the pressure of the car tire before heading to a drive. While
driving, the temperature of the air in the tire increases and results in flexing.

Assessment Based from your learnings about Charles law ,understand the situation below and write your
answer on a ¼ sheet of paper
The Buhisan Night High School basketball team has spent the whole summer conditioning,
but they took several months off before the season get started. When they went to get the
basketballs out the locker room in December they found out that every single ball was flat.
What happened to the basketballs ? Explain using your understanding on Charle’s law.
Assignment Give at least two examples of Charles law and research about Avogadros law
/Agreement

Remarks The teacher will let the students share their ideas and answers, posted and have an online
closing attendance after.
