• Al Hassan bin Al Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) said that some
people slaughtered their sheep before the prayer ended in Eid Al Adhah
(the sacrifice feast): this occasioned the revelation of verse:
( 1 ) O you who have believed, do not put [yourselves] before Allah and
His Messenger but fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing.

1) Identify the difference between expressing an opinion and taking a

decision.

‫ولئِّ َك الَّذينَ امت َ َحنَ َّ‬
‫اَّللُ قُلوبَ ُهم ِّللت َّ ٰ‬
‫قوى ۚ‬ ‫اَّلل أ ُ ٰ‬
‫ِّإ َّن الَّذينَ يَغُضونَ أَصوات َ ُهم ِّعندَ َرسو ِّل َّ ِّ‬
‫عظي ٌم‬ ‫لَ ُهم َمغ ِّف َرة ٌ َوأ َ ٌ‬
‫جر َ‬
‫ت أَكث َ ُر ُهم ال يَع ِّقلونَ‬ ‫راء ال ُح ُجرا ِّ‬ ‫ِّإ َّن الَّذينَ يُنادون ََك ِّمن َو ِّ‬
‫َفور َرحي ٌم‬ ‫اَّللُ غ ٌ‬‫َيرا لَ ُهم ۚ َو َّ‬ ‫خر َج ِّإلَي ِّهم لَكانَ خ ً‬ ‫صبَروا َحت ٰى تَ ُ‬ ‫َولَو أَنَّ ُهم َ‬
