OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY
Message
My warmest greetings to the school officials, administrators, faculty members and advisers,
teachers, parents, and guardians of the graduates and completers of School Year 2021-2022!
In the past six years, we committed to our mandate to enhance the quality of education,
broaden its access, and ensure its relevance in the rapidly changing world.
DepEd endeavored to address each challenge by instituting programs and reforms in the De-
partment. We have fully implemented the K to 12 curriculum and the aggressive reforms
of Sulong EduKalidad to produce globally competitive learners and teachers. We also expanded
our mission for accessible education by strengthening the Alternative Learning System (ALS) and
the Last Mile Schools programs to reach more Filipinos. Likewise,
we also established the National Academy of Sports (NAS) and Education Futures Unit to create
more opportunities for our learners and anticipate the future of the education system in the country.
Committed to sustaining this momentum, the Department developed and implemented the
Basic Education-Learning Continuity Program (BE-LCP), where we offered various learning modali-
ties and produced award-winning initiatives such as the DepEd TV and DepEd Commons at the
height of the pandemic. Eventually, the Department held its ground against an unprecedented chal-
lenge in basic education as we progressively expand the reintroduction of face-to-face classes in the
country.
Indeed, education is truly a shared responsibility. This is why we express our utmost appreci-
ation to our dear parents and teachers for being our partners in nurturing the youth throughout the
years.
To the Class of 2022, resilience is in your blood. You have survived one of the toughest
times in human history, yet still embraced education as your primary tool to success. I believe that
with your passion and purpose, you can reach your dreams and change the world.
May you keep on harnessing and imparting wisdom as together, we will build a nation of
competent global citizens and future leaders.

But getting back, let us first reminisce about our beginnings as a senior. Let’s bring back the best of times and the
worthwhile moments of yesterday. Let’s have a little flashback of the good times we had and a glimpse of the precious
moments we have shared.
Seniors, who have not yet grasped how they should be and what they should do for their new journey, have yet
shown their perseverance and dedication towards their ambitions and goals. But then, the pandemic happened. At first,
the seniors were unsure and afraid to take the risk to continue studying as well as adjusting to the new normal that was
happening around them. But they were more than brave enough to continue and to reach for their dreams to come true.
Who would have thought that the school activities they were looking forward to— the prom, sports competition, school
fairs, immersions and programs— did not happen face to face. As an alternative to those events, their school came up with
online versions of it. Those events that they got to experience brought them together as they learned new things. It was
extra special for them because even if they did not have the opportunity to bond and gather, they were still given the
chance to collaborate with their friends and classmates as they did schoolwork and activities for the events.
Education opens up new horizons. The new normal became a thing they wouldn’t have imagined before. They
were lost at first but then, it became a day to day routine for them as they got to experience what it means. Even if the try-
ing times limited their experiences as a senior, it was not a hindrance to continue expanding their knowledge from little to
bigger things. Coming across the online classes from the start, they gradually adjusted and even became better in han-
dling their piled up paperwork, school activities, projects and personal challenges.
Multiple breakdowns, restless nights, hopelessness, and even failure to meet the requirements occurred. They
were on the verge of losing hope, yet God never let them down. He gave them strength and introduced them to those who
would guide and assist them on their journey. He sensed their anguish and granted them a braver heart.
They were not easily overcome by the difficulties and disappointments that they have faced during the learning
process; because they are the true definition of future, and all their sacrifices will be worthwhile if they retain the faith and
do not surrender. Because perfection, continuous effort, failure, loyalty, and perseverance are the ingredients for success.
May 2022 marks the graduation day of the senior students who have undoubtedly displayed resilience for not
yielding to all the challenges they have encountered in the midst of a pandemic. It is the pinnacle of their achievement, the
result of their sweat and blood, as well as many sleepless hours of expectation and preparation for life's everyday trials.
For the past two years, their alma mater, Gracel Christian College Foundation Inc., has been their second home, and their
teachers have become their parents, friends, and mentors. They have played a larger role in their lives by instilling life les-
sons in them. Their words of wisdom have always motivated their passion to keep doing what they love and reaching for
their goals.
A phrase from my speech in our graduation that I would like for the seniors to always remember— “The common
misconception about improvement and success is that people think it’s a continuous process of being better over time.
What most of us fail to see is that in the process, we often hit a wall or 2 or even 3. But when we learn to get past the wall,
we improve exponentially— we rise above the wall, until we plateau and find the next wall that will set us up for another
opportunity to better ourselves.”
First day of January, the start of the year 2031 when I started to reminisce about those days I had during my
high school. 10 years have passed since I graduated highs chool. I, my co-alumni, and everyone I accompanied dur-
ing those times were about to meet each other again. This took place as soon as we got an invitation card from the
former Supreme Student Government Auditor and ABM president, Engr. Jelsey Gray Juan, a woman who is currently
a CEO of her own Engineering Company. Her long time friends also helped her prepare for the said high school reun-
ion, this includes Ms. Tsin Jeshia Tampoc who is currently a known Chartered Financial Analyst that also working at
Manulife Philippines, Ms. Raella Fernandez who is now a Certified Public Accountant built an accounting firm along
with Ms. Marian Nichole Uriarte and Ms. Laila Mae Valenzuela. While, Ms. Mikaella Antonette Tayoto and Ms. Anne
Nicole Zausa are senior accountants at Creativeink Corporation. Ms. Alicia Mae Lining, Ms. Christine Coyuca
and Ms. Nathalie Kane Mota who is also a CPA are working with each other at Aseana Holdings Incorporated.
All of them have already achieved their victory to be successful in their dreams and the field where they're experts at.
For the other attendees of the upcoming reunion, some of them are working at a known airline here in the
Philippines, They are Ms. AnneTracy Lagman, Ms. Katrina Paula Galedo, Ms. Patricia Mae Lahoz, Ms. Jonalyn Enero,
Ms. Joanah Mae Cabonegro, Mr. Kim Dryl Consolado and Ms. Dale Ashley Olegario, they are working at Cebu
Pacific while Ms. Anna Vanescia Duhaylungsod, Ms. Alaiza Nicole Dela Cruz, Ms. Jay Anne Java and Ms. Abigail
Mhae Ordona are working together at the Philippine Airlines, fulfilling their dream of traveling around the
world. Ms. Louise Maezell Berondo is now known for her own brand of bag and clothing.
Along with Ms. Berondo, Ms. Mariella Arrollado also has her own salon that is popular for styling both men
and women. Ms. Jennika Marie Chavez is now a CEO of a company that produces skincare and cosmetic products.
She’s working alongside her friend Ms. Mary Rhenelyn Galas as her Marketing Executive, she has contributed a lot to
make her friend's business successful. They are not the only successful businessmen and women attending this gath-
ering, the reunion will have other successful entrepreneurs, they are Ms. Jem Sheryn Ramirez, Ms. Ysabelle Magno,
and Mr. Mark Joseph Nueva. Meanwhile, Ms. Abegiel Giangan is a Marketing Manager at Sea Olympus Market-
ing, In the field wherein the application of science and math are combined to solve problems. Our alumni attendees
have engineers, Ms. Czarina Mae Manalili is now an Industrial Engineer and Mr. Wesley Sequite is now a Structural
Engineer. Ms. Mary Fiona Arellano who is now an Architect also worked with these two.

GRADE 12 GAS
Year 2032, May 30, I, Ar. Jeremy Cole G. Flores, a former Class President of 12 GAS S.Y. 2021-2022, Photojournalist of the
Gracel Bulletin, C.A.T. Officer, and now work as a professional commercial architect along with Ar. Raphael James M. Tuazon, who
specializes in landscaping, is also my former classmate. We have a business trip to discuss a subdivision project that will be held in
Mindanao. We booked a 6 AM flight the next day so we have plenty of time to prepare. As we entered the airport the next day, I saw
some very familiar faces. As we were about to ride the plane we met Engr. Justin Jose J. Lamata who is an aeronautical engineer
checking those planes so that we could have a safe ride. We boarded in the plane and as the cabin crews introduces themselves I
noticed our former Vice President of 12 GAS S.Y. 2021-2022, CAT Officer Mr. Christian D. Salagubang and former 2nd P.I.O. of 12
GAS S.Y. 2021-2022, Mr. Mark Joseph M. De Leon along with Ms.Terrence Lyle Amaba, Ms. Sheena Ree Galetto, Ms. Richel F.
Mendiola, Mr. Christian Lloyd D. Camasin and Mr. Meryell P. Bernardo as our Flight Attendants. The Pilot introduces himself
as Mr. Harry James S. Ilano, who also happened to be our former classmate.
Because it was a long flight, I brought my digital camera to capture the gorgeous landscape of the clouds through the win-
dow; it's funny how my photographic skills had not deteriorated. As I continued to move my camera around, I noticed a man digitally
sketching a cartoon on his tablet. As I zoomed in, I noticed that the tablet he was using had a name on it, and to my surprise, it was
Mr. Richard B. Dalit, and it stated that he is a professional 2D/3D animator. His work captivated me, and I'm delighted he found
his own path. Thanks to our pilot, our airplane landed safely, and we've arrived at our destination.
As we exited the plane, we noticed three soldiers and guards hovering around, but based on their posture and aura, I felt like
I knew them, and as I walked through them, they didn't hesitate to interact with me and introduce themselves as Stg. Jhoanna Mae B.
Diego, a former CAT officer, Cpl. Matin Salen, and Cpl. Joeren E. Lusay, along with OFC. Jackeline Gacuan, a policewoman
with her co-worker OFC. Gilbert V. Dela Cruz, also a policeman. It's always surprising to see what my former classmates' work is. As
the time passed by, we got hungry, so I asked Ar. Tuazon R. to find us a good restaurant nearby, which he did. We visited a restau-
rant that appeared to be highly popular based on the number of people eating there. We were seated and a waiter approached us. We
inquired about the most popular foods here, and the waiter selected a menu prepared by professional chefs with familiar names ;
CHEF Karoline Calado, CHEF Harold M. Mangubat and CHEF John Carlo P. Cruz, our classmates. The food was served, and
we devoured it quickly since we had to save time.
After that we stroll around the mall that we are in and we saw Mr. Roderick P. Felipe tidying to a job well done, his job is air-
conditioning and cooler technician, he’s fixing some broken AC at the mall, Also I noticed that this mall very advance and high-
technology a girl caught off attention when she is doing something in laptop, she seems very busy and into it but out of curiosity i read
her name tag which indicates her name as Ms. Paris Nicole G. Cordero a system analyst who specializes in technology and was also
one of my classmates before and was one of the quick witted students in class. Aside from technologies I happen to meet three of my
former classmates too, Ms. Lygen B. Cagucay and Mr. Charlz Gabriel B. Veloso, they are now successful business men and women
in their own company and of course the former muse of 12 GAS S.Y 2021- 2022 Ms. Angela B. Bancaso who's now an accountant.
Then we decided to go to our destination in Mindanao, which we took a bus to go there. While viewing the scenery outside
the window, I saw a billboard which recognized four of my classmates from before. It indicates that they are one of the best health
specialists in health which is RAD Hearlyn R. Rosales, a Radiologist, PSY. Marianne Clarise P. Calidro the former secretary of 12
GAS S.Y. 2021 - 2022 who is now a Psychologist and RN. Maxwell Kirby P. Deita the former P.I.O of 12 GAS S.Y. 2021 - 2022, COM-
SELEC, CAT officer and now part of BFP who is a nurse, with RN. Hannah Joy O. Floresta and RN. Justine D. Maraon who are also
nurses. All i can say is i am speechless on how far they go through.
As we arrived at the hotel we met some of our clients as well as the people that we’re working with. I can’t help but notice two
familiar faces, Engr. Romelito V. Dolorso, a civil engineer and Engr. Clyd Paul B. Arguelles,
an electrical engineer who happened to be our former classmates. And finally it was even-
ing, we are finally taking a rest. As I lay down on my bed and scrolled through my social me-
dia on my phone, I saw a post of my former classmates, CGI. Edmond Sotomayor, a coast
guard and OS. John Paul Samiliano, a seaman prolly two of our class clowns in the class. I
turned off my phone, thinking that this event isn’t a coincidence, hence it’s a destiny to meet
my successful former classmates which I am really proud of.
GRADE 12 HUMSS
As I get ready for work each day, I think about how fast the year has passed. I feel like I, Ysabela Nicole Reyes, am
just a senior high school student at Gracel Christian College Foundation Inc., a former class president of HUMSS-A from
grades 11 to 12, and a former Hotel Attendant. And now I'm working as the owner of my hotel at my office. It is the year
2037, according to my calendar. I sometimes remember my former classmates. Are they still lazy and playful? Apart from
joking, I wish them well in their life. It's noon-time, and I have to pick up my children from school, where Mr. Kinsian Alpasain
III, Mr. Deejay Bangayan, Ms. Lee Ann Magbanua, and Ms. Econje Rico, Harvey Jay B. Calomot are Junior High-
school Teacher. I saw the English Department Coordinator Mr. Ley Ford Flores, LPT. Together with him are Ms. Joanna
Mae Leones LPT and Ms. Ma. Denise Avila, LPT, a junior Highschool English Teacher, and they are about to go to
the school where I and they are also teaching, when I enter the entrance gate, I saw Ms. Mary Cel Tiglao, LPT, a Junior
Highschool Filipino Teacher and she is catching up, with the MAPEH Teacher of her Class Advisory Mr. Brian Rivera, LPT.
Since it’s the first day of the school year 2037, the school held an event for the new school year, and all the students are
gathered at the covered court, As one of the Faculty members of the school, I saw Frances Jennel Pascua, RPm
(Registered Psychometrician) and she is one of the Guest speakers for said event, and beside her is Lyka Eunice Ereneo,
RPsy (Registered Psychologist) and she is also one of the guest speakers, they are invited to speak about the mental health
awareness, after the said event I came to the two guest speakers and catch up with them. I also saw Roxie Dela Cruz as
the coach of women’s volleyball and she is now an Flight Attendant, and Mark Vincent Tesnado as the Basketball coach
and now a Navy, also Jian Bajamonde as the coach of men’s volleyball and now an Army. In the afternoon, I got back in
my hotel. I greet Ms. Angel Medroso, our responsible ground attendant, as I walk down the hotel. We had a small chat be-
fore I said my goodbyes. As I drove down the street, I came to a stop in the traffic. I witnessed a military band marching
alongside troops and police officers. I saw Lt. General Joannah Laizel Librea, Lt. Roanne Priol, Lt.Czyrheen Jhoy Otivar, Lt.
Jhon Ashley Pacariem, and Director-General Josh Arcega lead the march.
We've arrived at our house. I couldn't have built our lovely house without the expertise of Mr. Bernie Elises, a bril-
liant architect. We entered our home, and I turned on the television and saw Ms. Yasmien Yesha Maglaque, a dedicated
reporter. Ms. Avril Shane Nualla and Ms. Ellaiza Joyce Tadtad, two highly busy and astute journalists, sit alongside her in
the television frame. My children switched the television to a sports channel. I almost forgot that it is now the month of the
SEA Games. I saw PBA players getting ready for their game on the court. They are the Philippines' representatives, which
surprised me because they were Mr. Jaspher Arsua, Mr. Marc Joseph Caliboso, Mr. Dominic Adrianne Galvezo, Mr. Reiven
Garbiles, Mr. James Andrei Lanson, and Mr. Joshua Valencia. One man is interviewed for the commercial by a
horde of reporters and photographers, all of whom are clicking and flashing cameras. The gold medalist was Mr. Eugene
Andalay, a professional skater who was also a Philippine representative.
The next day, it's back to work. Because I have two business trips this week, it could be a hectic week. I'm meeting
with Ms. Angelica Joseph, Jasmine Dianne Bas and Antoinette Diona, our corporate lawyers, to discuss how we can make
our hotel business succeed. Our other lawyers, Ms. Dana Alessandra Lumbo, Ms. Rhea Jean Lusay, and Ms. Rhia Jhen
Ventura, are also on board to help us establish management documents, evaluate contracts, and make other strate-
gic decisions. After my appointment, I immediately go to a hospital to get my health declaration which is the requirement for
my business trip. Ms. Vanmarlet Lacson, Ms. Nhicole Mendoza and Mariel Manlangit are the nurses that assist me. They
are doing an outstanding job and fulfilling their duty as a nurse. As I was leaving the hospital, I ran into a group of doctors.
Ms. Azlhy France, a psychologist, and psychiatrists, Ms. Kimberly Mae Gallanoza and Mr. John Paul Ofiaza are taking a
break from their work. They appear to be best friends and are still very close. I decided to check my car at an auto repair
shop. Mr. Christian Bugayong was there. He told me that he, Mr. Ivan Dave Ramos, Mr. John Chelvin Patino, and Mr. King-
james Tolio were business partners in that auto repair shop. It's 3 a.m., and I've arrived at the airport. I noticed a
group of flight attendants walking while waiting for my flight. The pretty ladies are Ms. Christfel Ann Abastillas, Ms. Princess
Irish Ronidel, Ms. Kimberly Taberdo, Ms. Hazel Nojor, Ms. Marie Mae Lipalam, and Ms. Jared Muceros. I was
astounded by their attractiveness and astonished by how powerful their heels clicked on the floor. Following my flight, I start-
ed my first business trip. When I enter the boarding are I saw Riza Iman, and as her Senior Highschool Friend, I knew that
she is adventurer, Riza Iman is now an Economist. It was exhausting, and I'm now getting ready for my second business
trip. To get to our destination, we're boarding a cruise ship. I looked out the ship's balcony and saw Mr. Lhuke Richard Gar-
rido and Adrian Querubin the marines who keeps an eye on the sea. I'm hungry, so I head to the shipboard diner.
Ms. Emely Hepayo and Ms. Arcylivia Mae Flores was serving their delectable cooked meals. I landed at Davao
Airport and stay for 2 weeks in Davao while strolling around the airport I saw Khairoden Utto, Abdulwahid Manadra
and John Alexis Calleja they are now a PNPA and they are assigned in Davao.
