Background and Methodology ............................................................................................ 3
Synopsis ............................................................................................................................... 4
His career in the field of public opinion research began in the mid-1980s as an
analyst with Mason-Dixon Opinion Research. During this time, Mr. Gonzales
helped develop, craft and implement election surveys and exit polls for television
and radio in the Baltimore-Washington D.C. metro area.
Mr. Gonzales has polled and analyzed well over a thousand elections in Maryland
and across the country since that time. Furthermore, he and his associates have
conducted numerous market research projects, crafting message development
plans and generating strategy blueprints for businesses and organizations
throughout the state.
Over his 35 years conducting public opinion polls, Patrick Gonzales has been
widely recognized by his peers for his ability to conduct unbiased surveys, and
analyze the results in an impartial, evenhanded manner.

Research. She can be contacted at elizabeth@gonzalesresearch.com
This poll was conducted by Gonzales Research & Media Services from
January 9th through January 14th, 2023. A total of 823 registered voters in
Maryland were queried by live, person-to-person telephone interviews, including
both landline and cell phone numbers. A cross-section of interviews was
conducted throughout the state.
The margin of error (MOE), per accepted statistical standards, is a range of plus
or minus 3.5 percentage points. If the entire population was surveyed, there is
a 95% probability that the true numbers would fall within this range.
Synopsis
“The further a society drifts from truth the more it will hate those
who speak it.”
― George Orwell
Office-bearers and consultant class profiteers don’t like them, but Maryland
voters overwhelmingly favor term limits in the Free State.
Statewide, 76% support having term limits for all politicians, while only 18%
oppose term limits. Black or white, male or female, young or old…Marylanders
all say they want limits on the length of time politicians can hold a particular
office.
Even among Democrats, the party that’s turned the government dole into a
cottage industry, 70% support term limits.
We suspect the robust backing of term limits indicates a frustration for a great
many who perceive a government that’s increasingly turned a deaf ear to its
constituents.
Among Maryland voters, 76% support having term limits for all politicians in the state
(57% “strongly” support and 19% “somewhat” support), while only 18% oppose term
limits (9% “strongly” oppose and 9% “somewhat” oppose), with 6% offering no
opinion.
Among African American voters, 77% support having term limits for all politicians in
Maryland.
