WWJD, WHEN FACED

WITH THE FRUSTRATION OF HAVING

NO GAINS?
Part 2: The Reward

“Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop – hundred, sixty or thirty times what
was sown. He, who has ears, let him hear.” (v. 8-9)

THE REWARD OF A GREAT HARVEST

“Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop – hundred, sixty or thirty times what
was sown. He, who has ears, let him hear.” (v. 8-9)

1. IT STARTS WITH THE RIGHT HEART …

The fourth soil represents a willing heart.
“The seed on the good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart who hear the word of
God and result it and by persevering produce a good crop.” (v. 15)

They not only hear God’s word but they retain it, and the result is a productive life.

“Nothing great has ever been accomplished without enthusiasm.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

2. … AND WITH THE RIGHT ATTITUDE

The right attitude is saying yes to God for whatever instructions He gives us.

“Don’t merely listen to the Word and deceive yourself.” James 1:22

Truly successful people are willing to do things that other people are unwilling to do – the
unpleasant things, the uncomfortable things, the inconvenient things.
Everything worthwhile requires commitment.

3. THEN IT ENDS WITH A GREAT HARVEST

“But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and
understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”
(v. 23)

Have you ever asked why they have different results when they received the same seeds?

Not only that they have the right heart and attitude, they’ll go for the great harvest.
They are goal setters and task oriented and they want the best.

Because every great harvest is motivated by a desire to serve others

Paul’s favourite title for himself, “Paul, a servant of the Lord.”
There’s no such thing as success without service.
“We carry out this service of love for the Lord’s glory and to show that we want to help.” 2
Corinthians 12:15
THE FRUSTRATION CONTINUES
The seed of the word of God was sown to them, yet they could not get what God has given.
The pursuit goes on and on, and they’ll tire themselves to death because:

A LOT MORE COULD NOT UNDERSTAND

“The disciples came to Him and asked, “Why do you speak to the people in parables?” He
replied, “The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to
them.” (v. 10-11)

Unless they humble themselves before God and subject to Him as their saviour and Lord, they
will not understand nor receive anything from Him.”

IF THEY CONTINUE TO DO IT THEIR OWN WAY, THEY’LL LOSE THEIR

OPPORTUNITIES FOR SUCCESS

“Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even
what he has will be taken from him.” (v. 12)

THEY HAVE NOT COME TO THE GOOD FOR THEIR SUCCESS

If you admit that you can do nothing without God, you have what it takes to be successful.
Come to God today and find deep understanding about your life and many blessings God has in
store for you.
