Explanation

Explanation regarding to the implementation of the plan

In the first lesson, a Prezi presentation which is also used in the last session is displayed to the students. The
teacher first writes the phrases on the board and then talks about them. After direct teaching, the teacher
repeats them with different examples used in Prezi. As a little rest time, an embedded video from
presentation is watched. Thanks to the video, students both make listening and comprehending practice by
dialogues and visuals used in video.
In the second lesson, since it is the last session of the unit, students prepare a role-play in pairs which
enables them to brainstorm and form mini dialogues containing the phrases they have covered. While a
group displays their role-play, other students have a chance to observe both structures and vocabulary of
the dialogues. After then, students take a mini quiz on Google Forms which requires them to show whether
they have successfully covered the unit. It also enables the teacher to evaluate their knowledge. Students
revise and sum up the unit on this quiz.
Back up plan: if the teacher could not open the presentation due to technological problems, s/he would
introduce everything on the board and prepare a pop quiz for the later session instead of Google Forms. If
the students were not motivated enough for the role-play activity, s/he could initiate a short class discussion
and let them have a break afterward.
