Emergency situation? Ma’am, the first thing to do in an emergency
situation is to stay calm and follow or try to
remember the DRSABC action plan or flow
that describe as
D – Danger
R – Responsiveness
S – Send
A – Airway
B – Breathing
C – CPR
Very good!
2. Okay so what do we mean
by DRSABC? DANGER – always check first the danger and
source of injury. Make sure the surroundings
are safe and out of danger, otherwise, you will
also allow yourself to be a victim
RESPONSIVENESS – can the casualty hear
your voice? Can they open their eyes? Are
there any movements? Do they respond to
touch?
SEND – send for help or shout for help
AIRWAY – is the person’s airway clear?
If the person is not responding or
unconscious, check airway by opening the
mouth and having look inside. Tilting the
head back with the chin facing up will clear
the airway.
BREATHING – make sure that the victim is
breathing by looking at breathing signs,
listening to exhales, and feeling air coming
out from the mouth or nose.
CPR – if an adult is unconscious, no pulse, and
not breathing, perform CPR until the
emergency personnel or medics arrive.
Very good!

b. Analysis
1. What is CPR?
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation is a life-saving
technique that is administered when
breathing and heartbeat of a person stopped,
such as during a heart attack or drowning.
2. What is the proper way of
administering CPR? 1. Put the person on his or her back
2. Locate hand position for compression
3. Place heel of one hand over the first,
interlacing your fingers for support
4. Put other hand over the first, interlacing
your fingers for support.
5. With straight arms and shoulder positioned
over the victims chest, push down on the
victims chest.

7. After 30 compressions give 2 rescue
breathes
8. Repeat cycle until help arrives or when
there are sign of movement.

Stain, and Fracture? Sprain – are injuries that involve the
stretching of ligament
Strain – is the twisting or pulling of a muscle
or tendon.
Fracture – involves breaking of bones.
Doctors usually categorize strains and
Sprains according to severity.
2. What are those three category? Grade 1 category – mild or minor involve
minor tearing of ligament
Grade 2 – partial tearing of ligament or
muscle
Grade 3 – severe injury that involves the
complete tearing of the ligaments or muscles.
3. How are we going to treat Grade 1
and II category? By following the R-I-C-E
Rest, Ice pack, Compressing or wrapping with
bandage, Elevate.
d. Application
1. How are we going to apply compression
using bandage? By doing the figure eight pattern. Wrap
bandage diagonally across the top then
around the ankle and foot as id making the
number eight, moves to the heel then towards
the calf. The wrap covers entire foot and ends
several inches above the ankle. Fasten the
bandage with a clip or secure with tape.
Very good!
