ATTENDANCE POLICY:

• As per University policy, a minimum of 75% attendance shall be required for a student to be eligible

to appear in the mid and End Term examinations. All students concerned are advised to keep in

touch with their attendance records through their official account.

• The students with less than 75% attendance shall not be allowed to take classes after Mid Term

Examination dates.

CLASS RULES AND REGULATIONS:

• Without registration and university ID card no student shall be allowed to attend the class. Students

are advised to display the card in a visible position.

• The class shall be started as per given time table. No one shall be allowed after 10 Minutes of the

commencement of class unless genuine excuse.

• Students are encouraged to interrupt by asking the questions during the lecturer.

• Drinking, smoking, mobile usage, sectarian or political discussion and immoral / unethical activities

shall not be allowed during class.

• Students are welcomed any time during office hours to visit instructor’s office.

• All the communication regarding any lecture or change of class etc. (if any) shall be forwarded

directly to the students’ given email inbox; however, the hard copies for Xerox (if any) shall be

given to any responsible student to place at the photocopier shop. Thus students advised to keep in

touch with their e-box.

TEACHING & EVALUATION METHODOLOGY:

➢ English shall be the language of instructions; however, shy or scrawny students shall be allowed to
communicate in Urdu.
➢ Each lecture shall be of 1.5 hours.
➢ Audio video aids like Computer(s), Multimedia and White Board shall be used as teaching tools.

STUDENT’S EVALUATION (GRADING):

The course shall be evaluated out of 100 Marks as per following division:

GRADING DETAIL:

Seasonal Work (20 Marks):

• Quiz: 5 marks
• Presentation/Project 10 marks
• Assignments 10 marks
Total: 25 Marks

Mid Term Examinations (25 Marks):

• MCQ’s, Short, and long question type questions

End Term Examination (50 Marks);

Amplifier and characteristics: Common Emitter configuration, Common Base Configuration

and Common Collector Configuration, Power Amplifiers: Class A, Class B and Class C amplifiers,

FET, JFET and its characteristics, MOSFET and its Characteristics, FET as amplifier, Basic

operational Amplifiers: Comparators, Summing Amplifier, Integration and Differentiation, Active

Filters, Oscillators, Modulation and De-Modulation.

required); however, recommendation of the Instructor concerned shall be required.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
1. Apply basic laws for solving electronic circuits.
2. Understand how the main electronic circuits and devices work, and will be able to analysis the
Circuit with electronic devices.
3. Identify components and perform basic electronics assemblies
4. To explore Characteristics of Circuit and devices and choice of these topics, Components of

circuit and devices.

5. How to do the Literature review, circuit and devices, and Sampling analysis.

6. To know about the Data collection, and circuit and devices ethics.

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES:

The objective of this course was to equip students with concepts of electronics such as semiconductor
diode (types, models and its applications), semiconductor transistors (types and its application in
various configurations) circuit analysis, transistor biasing and its applications, transistor equivalent
circuits and models, integrated circuits and transistors, voltage regulators and operational amplifiers.
