Assertion Reasoning Type Questions

DIRECTION: In the following questions, a statement of Assertion (A) is followed by a

statement of Reason (R). Mark the correct choice as:

(a) Both assertion (A) and reason (R) are true and reason (R) is the correct explanation of
assertion (A)

(b) Both assertion (A) and reason (R) are true and reason (R) is not the correct explanation of
assertion (A)

(c) Assertion(A) is true but reason(R) is false.

(d) Assertion(A) is false but reason(R) is true.

1.Assertion (A) – 7 mL = 0.700 L

Reason (R) – 1 mL = 0.001 L

2.Assertion (A) – 63 km = 63000 m

Reason (R) – 1 m = 100 cm

3.Assertion (A) – 2.4 L = 2400 mL

Reason (R) – 1 L = 1000 mL

4.Assertion (A) – 10 paise = 0.1 rupee

Reason (R) – 1 rupee = 100 paise

5.Assertion (A) – 0.2 × 10 = 20

6.Assertion (A) – 27/1000 = 0.027
Reason (R) – On dividing a decimal by 1000, the decimal point is shifted to the left by two
places.

7.Assertion (A) – 0.2 > 0.02

Reason (R) – Tenth place is greater than Hundredth place if all values are same.

8.Assertion (A) – 7.1 cm = 71 mm

Reason (R) – 1 cm = 0.01 m

9.Assertion (A) – 1000 m = 1 km

Reason (R) – 1 m = 0.001 km

10.Assertion (A) – 25 g = 0.25 kg

Reason (R) – 1 g = 0.001 kg
