Study Plan

To whom It May Concern,

My name is Nobby Monica Katherine. I have graduated from Airlangga University as Bachelor of
Biomedical Engineering. I was specialized in medical instrumentation that studying the mechanism of how
medical device works and develop it with the recent demand that physicians need in daily practice. My thesis
research is designing a simple portable instrument LED as photodynamic therapy on the infected wound with
exogen photosensitizer.

Soon after graduated from bachelor’s degree, I have been working in Transmedic as product specialist
by selling some of the medical device to cardiologist for doing intervention in the catherization lab. Then my
second job in Medtronic, I sell aortic stent graft to cardiologist as well. Apart from technical as professional
sales representative I must achieving target sales by expand the business to new hospital while maintaining the
main hospital. In order to raise up the market share we need to set best price and provide better solution to
physicians along with hospital management as well.

As student candidate in National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST), I have set
my study plan to learn about consumer studies, management of risk in business, strategic management skills,
global marketing management and e-commerce in Taiwan. In order to prepare my research, I plan to have
internship in e-commerce company or similar company to understand more about the business and apply
theoretical that I have learned.

In my second year, my research topic is how to increase trust and satisfaction level in the E-Catalogue
as medical device e-commerce for professional healthcare in Indonesia. E-Catalogue it’s the only one e-
commerce website for government hospital in Indonesia to buy their medical device supply. In my experienced,
I found out some troublesome in using that e-commerce. I plan to design a questioner about satisfaction level,
usability website, and innovative solution in using existing e-commerce in Taiwan and compare it to the E-
catalog website which reviewed by cardiologist as main user. Therefore, I could provide better solution for E-
catalogue to increase their trust and satisfactory level in Indonesia.

After graduation, I plan to find a job as consultant in Ministry of Health Republic Indonesia to help
them develop their e-commerce website. In the next ten years, I plan to build my own medical device e-
commerce in Indonesia which more innovative, user friendly, and able to reach to all over Indonesia. The reason
why I deserve to get full scholarship and being accepted in MBA program of NTUST are I am an enthusiastic,
energetic, yet a persistent young person who loves new educative experiences. It does not matter if I will be
given another research topic by the professor to do another project which more suitable to my condition and it
will be an honor for my next research experience. I believe in NTUST could help me reaching my dreams by
providing update curriculum that match with global industry. Also provide strong networking with some famous
e-commerce’s in Taiwan or any other company that help me understand better regarding key points of e-
commerce business industry.
