     If you were Jose Rizal and was given the chance to be a guest of the Real Audencia de

    Manila and of Gov. Gen. Rafael Izquierdo, which of the two lawyers provided a better
    argument: Jose Montero y Vidal (a pro-Spaniard) or Dr. Trinidad de Tavera (pro-indio).

    If I were Jose Rizal and invited to the Real Audencia de Manila by Gov. Gen. Rafael Izquierdo, I
    believe Dr. Trinidad de Tavera would make a stronger case. I agree with him that the rebellion
    was caused by the Spaniards' harsh and inequitable treatment of Filipinos. In the same way, they
    revoked the privileges of Filipino troops and employees. Filipinos were enraged by their actions,
    driving them to rebel. Dr. Trinidad de Tavera has here to demonstrate that there would have been
    no insurrection if the Spaniards had not done anything worse. As a result, if the Spanish did not
    treat them unfairly, Filipinos would not react violently. As a result, Dr. Trinidad de Taver made a
    stronger argument for me.
