Project

Bromma Presentation 2016-09-05


Prerequisites

This guide assumes that the steps in

HowTo_GettingStarted
HowTo_UpdateSCUFW

has been followed.


1) Connect the USB cable to the computer

a) Connect the USB cable between the computer and the


M12 connector located at the SCU PLC

b) Find the COM port being used, go to ”Device Manager”


under ”Control Panel” and look at ”Ports”
2) Open CoDeSys V2.3

After installing CoDeSys V2.3 it’s


found under:
Windows start menu >> ”3S
Software” >> ”CoDeSys V2.3”
3) Open The Project

NOTE! Always use the latest project built for the


particular spreader. Download the latest from Bromma
Backyard

a) Choose ”Open” under ”File” and browse for the .pro


file that is to be used. If a template is to be
configured, they are located at

C:\Bromma Conquip\Templates\Midrange\

b) Click ”Open”
c) Provide the password that has been given to you
4) Check communication parameters

a) Select ”Online” and ”Communication Parameters”


b) Make sure that the COM port is the port that the USB
cable is connected to (see step 1)
c) The other parameters should be as shown below
5) Download the Software to the PLC

a) Select ”Project” and ”Clean All”


b) Select ”Project” and ”Build All”
c) Select ”Online” and ”Log In”
d) Select ”Online” and ”Create Boot Project”
e) Select ”Online” and ”Run”
6) Upload the Software to Bromma backyard

NOTE! Since it isn’t possible to download/upload


sourcecode to the PLC, it is of outmost importance that
after any change to the PLC software the .pro file is
uploaded to Bromma backyard!!
7) Backup Parameter, Open IFM Maintenance Tool

To make sure all parameter values are not lost in case of


the PLC having to be replaced, when the spreader
configuration is complete, follow this guide to create a
backup of the PLC:
a) Open IFM Maintenance, follow
HowTo_UpdateSCUFW, step 1-4
a) Select the ”Load” tab
8) Backup Parameter, Download Binary

a) Select ”From R360System” tab


b) Check the second and third box
c) NOTE! Do NOT check the ”Check
CRC” box
d) Press ”Load”
e) Save the file as an .H86 file on
your harddrive
f) Upload the .H86 file to Bromma
