If we recognise that every network can also be viewed
as an ecosystem, we can think of it as a circular,
interlacing nexus of binding relationships. Each body,
be it a form of art or knowledge, is knitted together in a
network of interdependence, however indirect the links
may be.

GENERAL
GUIDELINES
Universities/Colleges must register as a contingent to be
considered for the overalls.
The fests are only open to undergraduate and postgraduate
students.
A non-refundable registration fee is applicable to all fests
under the JAIN University Youth Fest.
A letter of participation issued by the Principal/Director of
the respective University/College must be
submitted/mailed to the respective event coordinator of
JAIN University Youth Fest Core Committee.
Participants must produce their valid University/College ID
card at the time of registration during the Fest for
verification.
Changes to the participant list for the contingent, once
registration closes, will not be entertained.
Only one team or individual per University/College can
participate in an event as a contingent. Any other team or
individual from the same University/College has to register
as a non-contingent, and the winning of this team or
individual will not be considered for overalls.
Cross University/College Non-Contingent participants are
not allowed in any event.

GENERAL
GUIDELINES
The tentative schedule of events will be posted before the
commencement of the Fest. However, the organizers
reserve the right to make changes if necessary due to
unavoidable circumstances.
Participants must report to the venue 45 minutes before
the event. In case of absenteeism, the participants will be
disqualified from their respective event(s).
On-spot registration for the events will close 45 minutes
before the commencement of the event(s).
If participants wish to register for more than one event,
they must ensure that the timings of their events do not
clash.
The decision of the Judge(s) and the JAIN University Youth
Fest Core Committee will be final and binding for all events.
All participants should strictly follow the rules and
regulations set by the JAIN University Youth Fest
Committee. Misconduct of any kind will lead to
disqualification from the event.
Offensive behaviour, indiscipline, and malpractice will lead
to disqualification.
Please do not carry hazardous, expensive, and damageable
articles to the venue. Any impermissible item, once
confiscated, will not be returned.

GENERAL
GUIDELINES
Decency and honesty in every aspect of the competition is
expected.
Any damage caused to property knowingly or unknowingly
during the Fest will be liable to the participant(s)of the
respective University/College.
The Management of JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) will
not be responsible for any loss/damage to personal
belongings and personal property.
Participants must carry their Covid-19 Vaccination
Certificate (2 doses + booster dose)or submit an RTPCR
(within 72 hours) test (with negative results) compulsorily.
Lunch for participants will be provided at NIMHANS.
Participants under the influence of alcohol and other
prohibited items will not be allowed inside the venue and
will lead to immediate disqualification of the participating
University/College.
Cash prizes, trophies and certificates shall be awarded to
the participants upon completion of the Fest during the
valedictory ceremony.
Incase of any unforeseen circumstances, the JAIN
University Youth Fest will be conducted online and same
registration fee will be applicable.

CONTINGENT
GUIDELINES
There are two types of bulk registrations: Contingent &
Package.
University/Colleges registering as Contingent can
participate in all the events except for the Open Events:
Beat Boxing, Dance Battle, FIFA and Science Expo.
Colleges registering as Package can participate in a limited
number of events as mentioned in the below table.

GUIDELINES
Absence of contingent/package participants in any event
will lead to negative scoring.
For Package Teams, the number of events per category
cannot be exchanged.
A team of ten members from the participating Contingent/
Package should take responsibility of their respective
Contingent/Package.
Cheering points will be awarded for events and overalls.
Entry fee per person is INR 100. A discount of INR 500 will
be given to the cheer squad of 20 members, if registered in
bulk.
Post registration, The Cheer Squad and Student list must
be mailed to ukti.sos@jainuniversity.ac.in, a day prior to the
event.
Changes in the participant list for contingents/packages
will not be entertained, once registration closes.

PATTERN
The scoring pattern for Nexus 2023 is clearly illustrated here.
Participants are expected to follow all the rules. If a participant
is found to be violating any of the rules, they will be losing out
on points as well as risking disqualification.

Rules:
1. The time limit is 30 minutes.
2. The game is divided into 2 parts.
Part 1:
20 questions will be given to all the participants.
Out of which, they have to answer a minimum of 5

After completing the 5 questions, they can start
marking the crossword.
Part 2:
Each team will be given a colored chalk for marking
the crossword.
The words are the answers they have got.
Once a team has discovered a word no other team
can re-mark it.

Rules:
1. Each group will be given 5 mins to go through the
blueprint.
2. Additional 15 mins will be given to complete a
write-up of the crime.

event or they will be disqualified immediately.
4. Only the given list of equipment can be used to
commit the crime (additionally any 3 pieces of
equipment of their choice can be added).

CATALYSTA - THE CHEMISTRY SCIENCE FORUM
Rules:
1. Participants will be given 6 hoops and 3
questions each.
2. Questions will be placed in a bowl and must be
chosen at random.
3. Contestants will have to solve the questions and
obtain the answers.
4. An item pertaining to the answer will be kept at a
distance. Participants will have to aim and shoot.
5. If the hoop falls on the object at the first shot -
15 points, the second shot - 10 points, third and
final shot - 5 points.
6. Contestants with the highest score and the
lowest time will be declared as winners.
7. Total time for all the questions would be 20
minutes.

Rules:
1. Teams are requested to carry all basic
stationery (pen, pencil, eraser, sharpener,
etc.)
2. Interaction with other teams during rounds
will lead to disqualification.
3. No negative scores in any round.
4. No interaction should happen between
teammates in individual skill round.
5. Judges' decision will be the final decision.

Rules:
1. Participants are to bring the required
stationary themselves.
2. Teams will undergo a rapid-fire round and will
be provided with two sets of questions.
3. Marks obtained on these trivia questions will
reveal the numbers on the Sudoku grid.
4. Participants can choose which numbers to be
revealed.
5. Use of mobile phones or internet devices is
prohibited.
6. Accuracy of Sudoku will be the major deciding
factor.
7. Time will be considered as the tie breaker.

2. The Budget for the model should not
exceed Rs. 1000.
3. The model should be based on any
scientific principle, concept, or
phenomenon.
4. Participants should bring their own power
supply if needed.
