I am seeking feedback from growers on the relevance and feasibility of these mitigations
to agricultural production in the Pacific Northwest. All pesticide users and affiliated
persons from Oregon, Washington and Idaho are asked to respond. Your survey answers
will be used to submit formal comments to EPA about the feasibility of their mitigations
and suggest other mitigations identified by stakeholders. All information is anonymous
and will only be shared with outside agencies in aggregate. Without industry input, a
potential risk is the implementation of label mitigations that are incompatible with PNW
practices.
To familiarize pesticide users and assess feasibility of the mitigations for the Pacific
Northwest, OSU will host an informational webinar.
Webinar: 10:00am, Friday, January 20th, 2023. Register in advance Register here
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about
joining the meeting.
I have also created a survey to collect feedback. The survey may take approximately ½
hour to complete. All pesticide users from Oregon, Washington and Idaho are asked to
respond. Your survey answers will be used to submit formal comments to EPA about the
feasibility of their mitigations and suggest other mitigations identified by stakeholders. All
information is anonymous and will only be shared with outside agencies in aggregate.
The survey will close on January 31, 2023.

SCORTCH IN
BLUEBERRIES
A Small Fruit Update Special Edition was circulated last
week. Recent blueberry virus surveys in western Washington
and Oregon identified BlScV positive plants in
numerous fields, including widespread positive detections in
some fields. It is likely to become a significant threat to
blueberry production in these places, as it is in BC.
